Kyoko wished more people were this innocently interested in her magic, small tricks that amused the younger children from Red Light. Insist of the spells that the older kids were interested in, ones that left people losing their sanity or their lives.

Somehow, she had gone from party guest to entertainer in a matter of minutes. Since Kiya had dragged her to her small group of friends, all of them asking for illusions of butterflies, birds and other small animals. Easy bits of magic anyone past their fourth year would know how to perform.

No one said anything about it, because it was a bit of harmless fun. She wouldn't have a spell if she thought it would bring harm to the children around her. She wasn't like them and would never be, even when she was nothing more than bones in the ground.

"Presents," Charis announced, Clasrissa clapped her hands while running towards the table. Kiya smiling as she took her into her own, allowing her friends to walk ahead of them.

In the end Kyoko thought they had gotten an interesting array of presents. Clasrissa had been given books, art supplies and hard to break toys. Kiya, on the other hand, had been given books, gems and art supplies.

Sheikh's book had been flicked through by Kiya, while Clasrissa had placed it in her pile. Staring wide eye at the snow glob that was next to it, small fingers tracing blue birds.

Kiya just showed it to her, her eyes wide and Kyoko knew what she meant. She didn't know how it worked, this was something that Kyoko and Grandmother Sapphire figured out what worked to make them when she was four.

"Show?" Clasrissa asked, Kyoko nodding as she traced her finger along the wooden base. Her finger pushing down on one of the birds, the one in the middle of the front. Energy from the air being taken in as an image of Ceilidh Ivey was shown above their head.

The founder of the Ivey Warrior Clan, this showed the legend of how she got her people away from the Frost Clan in Water Country, the same Clan that had fought until an two entire generation was gone and all was left was the elders, those who couldn't have children anymore.

"These are to help you learn, much more entertaining than thick tomes for some," Kyoko admitted. While she preferred reading, she knew not everyone did. Removing her hand the image stayed, only disappearing when the story finished. Almost laughing when she saw the looks of wonder on the children's faces. "Place your finger on the bird, or flower, with a swirl in the middle. It won't take energy from you, but from the air around you, so it'll work in water and take energy from that. You'll be told stories about past Warrior and Mages. Legends."

"Father of Magic?" Kiya asked her.

"Of course," Kyoko told her.

"Thank you," Kiya told her placing hers carefully down on the table, Sheikh's book next to that. Pulling her into a hug, one that Clasrissa quickly joined. All three of them giggling when Charis told them it was time for cake, Clasrissa quickly running after her mother.

Her friends following quickly behind, their parents grinning as they went back to talking amongst themselves. Kiya's friends following shortly behind, already the difference between Mages and Warriors showing. Kyoko could only hope that Clasrissa and Kiya still got on. It would be heart breaking if they started hating each other.

"Why don't we get some cake," Kyoko told Kiya as they pulled out of the hug, Kiya taking her hand into her own. "Before they finish the whole thing."

Adrianne could feel hatred raising in her heart. The same hatred that had been growing since Talia had sent her to her sentence six weeks ago. She didn't get a cell to herself, no, the guard told her she wasn't that much of a threat.
