Winston was at the kitchen table when there was a knock at his door. Breakfast finished in front of him, watching as Kyoko waited for Kiya to finish her questions about the Academy and what they studied as Mages, before answering.
It would be seem her words were chosen carefully, as if she was trying to keep information to herself. Mrs Blackwater wouldn't be happy if she knew Kyoko was telling a newbie everything about her classes afterall.
Charis, Kiya, Clasrissa and Kyoko looked at him before looking at the door. As if they were trying to see through the wood and figure out who wanted someone this early the morning.
Winston just shock his head, "I'll see who it is and what they want."
Clasrissa nodding as she went back to her pastry, Kiya quickly doing the same.
"Kyoko eat some more, you're too skinny," Charis told her, putting more food onto her plate. Winston was sure she'd just work it off later that day.
"Yes ma'am," Kyoko told her.
Winston sighed as he walked to the front room, both Dominic and Zack looked at amused. Zack more so than Dominic. Wait, Winston thought to himself looking at the sky, shouldn't they be on guard duty?
Spotting the sun, he realised that they would have finished their shift around an hour ago.
"Something happened?" Winston asked.
"Adrianne Haruka had attacked her cell mate," Dominic told him, his amusement disappearing from his face. But not from his eyes and Winston knew Dominic would be able to hide this from most people, but he knew the Mage better then most. "She attacked Fala Hollymore."
"Fala Hollymore?" Winston asked him. He knew Fala, had worked with her nine years ago. She was someone who accepted him shortly after Diana and her husbands. He had heard she had been charged with property damage and assault. "Adrianne lost didn't she?"
"She did. Didn't even get one punch in," Zack told him.
"Healer Akkub had to heal her afterwards," Dominic added, rolling his eyes as Zack grinned. "Wouldn't do anything without two guards in the room. Healer Heartstone refused to touch 'the monster' all together."
"Fala has always been skilled in close combat," Winston added he had fought her during the war once. He had escaped by the skin of his teeth. The two Warriors he had been with hadn't been so lucky, she had pushed on their nose bones in their skull and the other one she simply broke their neck.
"That she was," Zack agreed with him.
"Talia has ordered a team to look into her case," Dominic told him, a grim expression on his face.
"She thinks Sienna was lying about Fala attacking Bran's little girl, neither she nor Conner saw over the case themselves," Zack admitted. "We all know that Fala would rather throw herself onto the blade then attack a child. She went out of her way to hurt those who were know for hurting children."
"Does seem extremely out of character," Winston agreed.
"Charis asked me to see what was going on," Kyoko told them as she slipped to stand next to him. Zack smiling as he picked her up, grinning as he held her in his arms. Winston had been surprised that she had spare clothes sealed away, but she told him that there was no way she'd walk around in that blue dress during daylight.
"Adrianne Haruka attacked Fala Hollymore," Zack told her.
"And the stupidity grows," Kyoko answered as she tapped at Zack's arm. Zack grinning as he put her down on the ground, she took a step back until she was leaning against the wall next to the door. "Is she dead?"
