Sheikh had been stunned with how much planning both Flynn Hollymore and Arthur Holly had done after their King had ordered them to hide in the Fuar population. According to Flynn, nothing had been done in writing and no one else knew about the order.

Not only that, but one of the last thing the King had done, was burn the book that listed down everyone who was in his guard and their families. Stopping anyone from being able to track them down while they were in hiding.

The attack on Fuar still surprised him, since he didn't think they were that far away from the main village. It also turned out that Arthur Holly had almost died that day, but was saved when Kyoko was done treating the children. At least the ones they had found up to that point.

Flynn had also told him that both the Hollymore and Holly Clans owned her a blood debt; for each member of their family that she had saved during her stay in Ice country.

If Oiche is Dorcha successfully took over both Ice and Frost, but they wouldn't be the last things they took under their control, not by a long shot. Next would be Fire, before Wind and Lightning. The situation would spread, slavery would spread if what they told him was true. Along with same rules and murders. Talia, Conner and Clans heads would be killed like the King had.

So if they failed here, he was going to die anyway. Along with any Mage that they got their hands on, Water sounded like a blood bath. He didn't want to think what would happen if it happened in Fire. But they would do what was necessary to keep Fire under control, maybe even kill the Fire Royal Family.

Sitting in the living room, Stanley put his book into his lap and stared out the front window. He had told him that tomorrow was a day off, once a month workers had the day off.

He explained that they would attack anyone found near the bridge on this day. That he had almost lost Jakob and quite a few of his men because of it. It was a horribly monthly tradition, they were trying to scare them into stopping.

Stanley was stubborn it would seem, so where his workers and none of them had been scared off. They would resist and fight, until their lives ended.

"Sheikh, Stanley," Winston said looking at Adrianne's bedroom door. The lock firmly in place, it was about the same time that Winston would check for bandits trying to make camp around the White house. "You've been out."

"Worried about a loose bolt, some of my men are getting slick in making sure everything's put together," Stanley explained looking at the cup on the coffee table. Some of Kyoko's dream wine if he recognised it correctly. "Tomorrow's our monthly day off, some of my men have parents they need to see."

"You lucked out," Sheikh told him, elbows on his knees as he looked at the book on his lap. It was one of the history books that Kyoko had allowed him to borrow. "Call of nature arrived at the wrong time."

"I'm going to check the surroundings," Winston told them, everything Flynn, Adam and Sam told him was fresh in his memory.

Winston hadn't noticed a major attack on Fuar, maybe he was getting less guarded in his old age. Or maybe he was taking the rank of the mission and not bothering about worrying about anything other then a bandit attack. He would have to remember not to that himself, to always expect the unexpected.

It would do be blind-sided by the enemy. It could, and would, mean their deaths. But for now, he had to wait for Kyoko to return the next day and they would be forced to resume their team building training with Adrianne.

When they were back in the village, he was going to have to ask Jamie to help him and Kyoko fight together. So they never had to leave the other behind, in fear that they would get hurt.
