Kyoko knew she had to act quickly, while she still had the upper hand. Being quiet as she stayed on her staff, watching as the two talked to each other and it made it clear that the Mage was self-taught.
She had the advantage of knowing their location, while they didn't know hers. Both of them were talking freely in the clearing in front of her, neither were on alert and she didn't think the Mage was looking for any barrier spells.
The trees would keep her from being spotted any time soon, even if they were looking for her. It was also hard to see anyone from the path, which would have been the reason they had picked this spot in the first place.
She would have to be careful, her plan could fall apart in seconds the moment she made one small mistake. Closing her eyes, she put her hands in front of her collarbone, lacing fingers together as ink appeared on her skin.
Holding her breath, she placed her hand on the branch in front of her. Watching as ink made its way around the clearing, stopping as both lines met in the middle.
The two Soldiers freezing, their muscles locking in place. It was easily broken, could only hold two people for about ten minutes at best.
So she had to move fast, taking two pieces of paper out of one of her seals. Putting both of them in the middle of the Mages back, before doing the same to the Warrior.
These were two people she had been told could be talked around, could be talked to. That she had promised not to kill Connor Uisce and anyone she found with them. Unsealing rope, she pulled them towards a tree and tied them to it.
"So Demon Terrors master," Kyoko told him as she sat on the ground, keeping an eye on the two. Even as they looked at her with narrowed eyes. "Connor Uisce. Shame your cousin didn't know you were waiting for him."
"He chose to leave," Connor told her. Sighing, she stood up and placed a seal on Connor's sword. A seal that would be removed the moment he left her barrier.
"And then you left," Kyoko pointed out, taking her staff and floating above the ground. Just in case, she had to flee.
"Give me a reason," Connor growled at her, even as she crossed her arms. "Why I shouldn't kill you where you stand."
"You're tied to a tree," Kyoko pointed out, tilting her head as she looked at the Mage. Her hair was a silver-y blonde was cut to just underneath her ears, and her eyes made her pause.
They reminded her of a frozen river, those features helped Kyoko place her in a clan faster than her magic or aura could, Skylar. The ancient clan Skylar, a Clan of Ice Mages.
"You're not going to kill," she asked her.
"Relax, I have a few questions," she told them, unsealing a scroll and writing about the two in front of her.
"Then why tie us?" she asked, while Kyoko sent the scroll to Ethan and Adeline.
"I'm not stupid. Connor would kill me in a heartbeat."
"What is it?" Connor asked her, deep violet eyes keeping track of her movements. Even as she dropped as a grey handled dagger to her side, blue ribbon tied to the bottom of the handle.
"You're after the Bridge builder," Kyoko said.
"And if we are?" Connor asked.
"And the reason?"
"To kill him."
"I should kill you, it says you failed to kill Amadahy."
"That means nothing."
