Kyoko was nervous. So very, very nervous and it was making her hands shack slightly. Talk to Missing Solider as they were tied to her water wall, easy. Go to a formal birthday party for the heirs of a new clan in Doiteain? Nope, someone get her out of this mess.
It most likely said a lot about her; when murder, nudity and violence didn't make her blink. But something as harmless as a birthday party, was making her dizzy.
The dress that Karina and Elodie helped her pick was at least a dark colour. A dark blue, with shimmering fabric for the wrist long sleeves. The length of the sleeves were a slight annoyance, but what annoyed her more was the thicker material at her shoulders.
The skirt reminded her of an upside down bell, along with reminding her a longer version of a ballerina's skirt. It was the most formal thing she owned, as most of her money went towards books and food, not clothing.
This was something she wouldn't be surprised was made for a flower girl at a wedding, she was glad that she showered before getting dressed. Training had gotten harder now that it was just her and Sheikh.
So she was usually covered in sweat when she was good home, a good ache in her bones. But it also gave her time to brush out as many of the curls out of her hair as she could, the same curls that her braids had created.
Placing a headband behind her ears, she carefully place it down in a way. That her hair wasn't push back, but at the same time being kept out of her face.
She looked like an idiot. Felt like an idiot. Was most likely going to act like an idiot.
Someone was going to laugh at her, it almost made her want to burn something to the ground. Even if Karina and Elodie cooed at her the first time she tried it on, about six weeks ago if she remembered correctly. Great, that meant their training sessions were going back to team building. She didn't miss being tied to the idiot who hadn't climbed a tree before in her life.
"Oh well," she whispered to herself. The last six weeks hadn't been interesting, all she did was train, work, read, sleep and eat. Sheikh had allowed her to crush in his spare bedroom after their training with Jamie.
It had taken a week to find the right stories, then a month to complete the snow globes for Kiya and Clasrissa's presents. She smiled as she looked at her achievement, two snow globes.
She smiled as watched blue butterflies fly through clear liquid, snow falling around them. Three different types of gems lining the bottom, Opals, Amber and Sapphires. The wooden base covered in seals, but she had hidden said seals in drawings of butterflies and flowers.
Clasrissa's was similar to Kiya's, but the only difference that instead of butterflies and flowers. There were blue birds and pine trees. She didn't know if they were going to like them, but it was the only thing she could think of.
Even after talking to Elodie and Karina. She had shown Sheikh when she had finished the first one, he thought it was a good idea, even teasing her about ordering some for his new clansman. He couldn't go to the party himself, but he had handed her something to give to them.
A history book about the clans that had arrived and settled into Doiteain before the First Major War. When she flicked through the book, she was glad to find the author gave a brief summary about each clan insist an indepth summary about them. Some Clans were old enough to need an entire series of books to cover their history.
Putting her gifts into snow globes, she placed one of each into a bag. The girls' name on the labels, she almost jumped out of her skin when Diana and Dominic walked into her apartment. They stared at her, but she crossed her arms and dared them to say anything about her outfit.
