When I woke up the next day, Orion was still sleeping beside me so I decided to head to the washroom to freshen up, without disturbing him.

Today we wanted to try and find Cayden, the Protector that Everly was involved with. I knew it was going to be hard to find him, because really he could have been anywhere in the planet. I also realize how naive I am for believing that Cayden will willingly help us out. But there is nothing I can do except hope that he does. Hope is the only thing holding me together right now.

As soon as I finish everything I need to do in the washroom, I head down stairs. There I find Orion's mother making breakfast. I walk over not sure whether I should leave or if I should help.

"Do you need help with anything?" The best way to find out is to ask.

"No Im alright. Thank you." I nod still not sure what I should do with myself.

I decide to head upstairs to check on Orion. As I enter his room I realize he is still asleep. I guess now would be the perfect time to wake him up.

I head over to his bed and sit down on the edge of it. I watch as Orion sleeps and I take a moment to notice all the small details to his face, that I don't get to see when he's awake. His dark eyelashes brush against his cheeks, his nose is the slightest bit crooked. I had always known that he was attractive but I hadn't realized to what extent until now.

I place my hand on his shoulder and shake him a bit. I watch as his face contorts in confusion and he slowly opens his eyes still not sure what is going on. His eyes concentrate on mine and he still seems disorientated. Finally realization is clear on his face and he sits up rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"Good morning Orion. How did you sleep?"

"Actually better then I thought I would. It really helped that you were there." Orion grins at me and I blush. I still can't believe that we shared a bed. I had never been that intimate with anyone before.

"I think you should get ready now. Your mom is making breakfast and I think she'll be done soon. After we eat we should get ready to leave." I look away as I realize Orion isn't wearing a shirt. I hear him walk into the washroom and turn on the tap.

As I wait for Orion to finish up I think about everything we need to do. Everything that has to work in our favour for everything to work out. Our whole plan is bogus and there is no way of knowing if its gonna work or not.

A few minutes later Orion comes back out in fresh clothing and wet hair. We head downstairs together where we enjoy a nice filling breakfast. After that I leave Orion to his goodbyes with his family.

This is it, this is our only chance to get Everly back. Things could go bad and this could be the last time Orion sees his family. As soon as the thought enters my mind I get rid of it. I can't think that way.
