"Casey, we need to talk." Venus spoke, her voice hoarse from crying.

"Sure kid, what's up?" He asked her.

"Something happened, it's not bad, it just hurts. Can you meet me at the coffee shop in 20?"

"Sure thing kid, love you."

"Love you too."

Venus got up from her spot in bed and grabbed a change of clothes, simple leggings, and her TSM sweatshirt did the job.

She glanced in the mirror, her eyes were red from crying, and the bags had darkened quite a bit.

Vee sighed, not even bothering to think about putting make up on. She ran her fingers through her wavey hair, making it look decent enough to go out.

She slipped on her high tops and slowly made her way to the coffee shop. She made it there slightly before Casey did. She slid into a booth and let herself sink so that her head was just barely visible over the table.

"Vee?" She looked up to see Casey standing next to the booth.

"Sit down." Her hands motioned to the seat across.

"Dude, you look awful what happened?"

"Stupid boys."

"Nonono, it wasn't Bunny was it?"

Venus hesitated.

"Vee, why didn't you tell me sooner? I could've helped." The boy had a solemn look on his face.

"I didn't tell anyone, this is the first time I've even gotten out of bed, which I don't understand, it wasn't even that bad, I shouldn't be upset." She sighed.

"How did it go down? If you don't mind me asking."

"He stopped talking to me for nearly a week and then told me we needed to talk, I tried to work things out with him, and he just got pissed at me for it and told me to get out, so I did." Tears were threatening to spill out again.

"That's terrible! That's why you're upset girl." Casey replied before standing up and moving to her side of the booth so that he could hug her. "What a son of a gun, I'm going to kick his ass."

"Don't."

"I don't see a reason why not to."

"I just, I don't want to make this a bigger mess than it already is okay?"

"Okay Vee, I'll respect that."

"Thank you so much Casey."

"No problem."

"I never would've thought he would do something like that, he didn't even look at me the entire time."

"Oh man, Vee..."

"It's whatever I guess." She shrugged. "I understand why he did it, it wasn't really his fault."

Casey frowned.

"I just wish that I hadn't been so attached you know? Maybe then he wouldn't have performed poorly in scrims."

"Vee, don't say that, you weren't too attached, you were just doing what girlfriends do."

"You're right." Her face straightened. "I just don't get why he would have to do what he did in such a rude way."

"Yeah, boys can be jerks, trust me I know."

Vee laughed at his comment.

"You would know, wouldn't you?"

"Of course kid, I've been through more boys than a paid stripper."

"Oh, well, I didn't, I didn't really need to know that." Venus said, looking away from her best friend.

"I'm just kidding!"

"Sure you were."
