The days had been passing as slow as possible, or at least is that's what it felt like to Venus. She hadn't been sleeping and she wasn't sure why, her time with LOD had been great, maybe she just missed Bunny, too much for her own good.
The bags under her eyes looked like bruises if she was being honest, and she had no experience with makeup whatsoever, so covering them up wasn't an option.
She had her hood drawn over her head, and her sleeves pulled completely over her hands, she was too tired to function and honestly had no idea what she was supposed to be doing.
"Vee!" Caitlyn came rushing into the room towards the girl.
"Huh? What?" She snapped out of her trance, she had been up late and nearly falling asleep everywhere that she had the chance.
"James, he isn't here today, I need you to cover his shit." She was out of breath.
"Oh, yeah okay, what teams, what series." Venus gave a light smile.
"I need you to do Echo Fox, CLG, Liquid, C9, and EnVy, got it?" Caitlyn smiled towards the girl.
"Oh, uh, yeah."
"Great." Caitlyn started to turn to leave.
"Wait.. did you say C9?" Her face softened, nearly turning into a frown.
"Yeah, I thought you were chill with them so I figured I would let you hang out with them."
"Oh uh. I can't." She felt tears prick the back of her eyes.
"What happened?"
"Just, uh, something happened with Bunny, and I just, I can't be around him."
She tried to explain the situation as best as she could without crying, and almost got through the whole thing.
"Venus, I'm so sorry." She hugged the girl. "I can do the C9 photos for you alright?"
"That would be great thank you."
"And I understand how you feel, it's just, listen." She trailed off. "Esports guys are dicks for the most part, not all of them, but most of them, they want you, but with no strings attached and it sucks." A sad look washed over the girls face.
"Oh." Venus sighed.
"I'm not saying that all of them are out to hurt you, but a lot of them just don't have time to be loyal, it sucks."
Venus could tell that the girl had probably been through a few.
"Yeah, I'm sorry Cait."
"It'll be okay." She smiled.
"Well, thank you for taking C9 for me, good luck!" She hugged the girl once more.
"You too." She giggled before the two parted ways.
She was grateful that she got to be with EnVy for the last part of the day, and that she didn't have to be with anyone from C9.
Venus knew that somewhere deep down she really wanted to speak to the boys again, but anything like that was too risky right now, who knew what would happen.
As the day passed and she got to hang out with some of the teams she hadn't paid much attention to, there was a little energy added into her step.
Venus was feeling happier, and overall great, and by the time the EnVy series had come, she was almost jumping off the walls.
"Whoa you okay there?" LOD asked, following her into the hall.
"Yeah, just a little hyper." She hiccuped.
The boy laughed at her. "You silly little ball of energy."
He pulled the girl into a hug.
"I really hope that things work out for you, you know?"
Venus hugged him harder.
"Like, you deserve so much, and I just want everything to go your way." He kissed the top of her head in a protective way before letting go. He turned to go back into the practice room.
"Wait. Good luck!" Venus said, standing on her tiptoes to hug him once more before he left.
"Thanks, I'll need it." He winked before disappearing behind the door.
