"They actually did it." She thought as she watched C9 take the nexus against Immortals. "They came back from an 0-2 and they're actually going to game 5."
Venus was practically jumping in her chair next to Jack. C9 were in Gauntlet in attempt to make Worlds again, game 5 was their last chance, and they had to win.
She was just a bundle of nerves, hoping that everything went their way.
Jack left the room for a short period of time to talk to the boys, and all she could do was sit in suspense waiting for the next game to start.
Fortunately, it wasn't long before they were in draft for game 5.
"They know exactly what to do." Jack smiled.
The game started off fairly even, the towers even, and gold close.
There were a few kills here and there but nothing to drastically change the game. By the time 40 minutes had rolled around, it was almost a stalemate, both teams had gotten to inhib towers, but hadn't actually taken them yet.
Around the 45th minute, Adrian had a killer Braum engage that resulted in everyone except for Sneaky's death. This resulted in Immortals taking inhib before getting pushed to the outer edge of the C9 base by the respawning team.
"They need to fight." Venus mentioned, pulling on her fingers.
"Yeah." Jack replied. The stress in the room was apparent.
Just as Jack had responded Bunny engaged with his godlike Thresh which resulted in an ace for C9, but they couldn't push, not yet, they had to clear the super minions.
As they cleared them there were around 25 seconds left on the Immortals death timers.
"Baron! Baron!" Venus was screaming, even though they couldn't hear her.
She watched in horror as the boys made their way towards the Baron pit. Bunny sweeped the area before pinging a few times towards the bush by the north base gate. She watched the 4 other players make their way to the bush, their allied minions finally being able to push towards the inhib tower.
As they settled down in the bush Immortals had appeared out of the fog of war and they were all making their way towards Baron. Venus saw what they were doing now, Sneaky was playing Twitch, 45 minutes in, he would melt towers and so would Impact's Gnar.
She held her breath as Bunny waited in the bush by Baron, pinging the team to start on the tower.
The took inhib tower and half of the inhib before Immortals realized what was happening. As they started their backs around Baron, Bunny started his work.
Huni was attempting to TP back to base, but was hooked out of it before Bunny ulted, stopping the backs of the other players.
By the time they were able to start recalling again C9 was already on the nexus.
Reignover was the first one to make it back to base, but by then it was too late. C9 had made it to Worlds.
"Holy shit." Venus said, shocked at the play the team had just made.
"That was, really something." Jack said. "I can't believe that worked, that was so incredibly risky."
The two quickly made their way out of the room to meet up with Danan and Elizabeth who were already on stage.
Venus pulled out her camera to take pictures of the boys who were now picking up Bunny as the audience chanted his name over and over.
"Bunny that was so amazing!" Jensen yelled up to the boy, who was currently being held up by Impact, Meteos, and Sneaky.
"Thanks dude!" He smiled.
Venus continued taking photos of the entire thing, including the part where Meteos accidentally stepped on Sneaky's shoelace causing them to trip and drop Bunny.
Bunny hit the floor with a thud, but by the time he did all of them were already laughing, including him.
"Is everyone okay?" Jack asked, reaching an arm out to help Bunny off of the ground.
"Yeah." There was a chorus of replies.
They all watched as Bunny stretched his arm up to reach for Jack's.
"Oh, that, that's not right." He said, referring to the shape his arm was in.
Venus was confused, how he didn't feel any pain, but assumed that it was the shock from the fall, and from winning that had him numb.
"MICHAEL!" Elizabeth screamed pulling out her phone.
Phreak had just come down to interview the boy, but quickly looked away at the sight of the boys arm.
The impact from the fall, and Sneaky and Meteos landing somewhat on top of him at the same time, had managed to snap his arm in a way Venus didn't even know was possible, and she had it all in pictures.
The ambulance arrived shortly after Elizabeth had called them. The team was still in shock, both from winning, and from their support breaking their arm in half.
"Guys what do we do? By the time he recovers from that he won't have any time to prepare for Worlds." Danan's voice was panicked.
"Just, everyone calm down, we will figure it out." Jack told them, as they followed the ambulance.
There was a collective sigh from everyone in the car.
"I just hope he's okay." Jensen said.
"Me too."
