21. Listen

"Vee! Just hear me out, please..." Jensen was pleading, following the girl and EnVy down the hallway towards the stage.

"What the hell do you want?" She snapped and turned around. He had been following her for almost 5 minutes trying to get her to talk to him.

"Vee I'm just, I'm sorry." He sad sadly, almost choking on his words.

"Why? Because you watched Bunny do all of this to me and then you pretended that you were there for me when you really weren't?" She spat. Anger flashing across her face. She knew it wasn't entirely Jensen's fault, but it was taking everything in her not to blame him for it.

"Vee, that's not what happened and you know that." He paused. His face softened.

"Do I? Because it seems like you all just forgot about me and took Bunny's side, and I don't think any of this is fair!" She was almost screaming. Jensen watched as a tear fell down her cheek.

EnVy was on stage by now surely, and Vee wasn't going to be there for photos anytime soon.

"You're right, it's not fair," Jensen sighed, "but he's our teammate and we have to do what's best for our team." He tried to explain but he seemed to be digging himself an even bigger hole than the one he was already in. "And if you would just listen." Frustration was dragging his voice, making it lower and scratchier than normal.

"Listen to what Jensen? What is there to say?"

"He's sorry, I'm sorry, we're all sorry." His voice cracked. "Just let me talk to you."

"I'll think about it." Venus scoffed before turning away to find her way to the stage.

"Thank you." She heard Jensen's soft voice from behind her.

Jensen and Sneaky both managed to catch her after their game. She was waiting outside for LOD who had left something in the practice room.

"Vee," Jensen started, "I'm so sorry for everything." His shoulders hung low, Vee could tell he was expecting rejection. "I really shouldn't have messed with you like that, I really hope that you can forgive me and we can work this out." He sighed.

Venus nodded and turned to Sneaky who looked like he was trying to formulate something to add on to what Jensen said.

"Me too Venus, I just didn't really know the situation and it would mean a lot to me if we could still be friends, God I'm so sorry." His eyes drifted to the ground.

Venus inhaled sharply, her eyes darting everywhere they could. Tears were threatening to spill, she hadn't meant to make the boys feel bad, she just wanted justice for herself, nothing was fair.

She took another deep breath before wrapping her arms around Jensen.

"It's okay, I forgive you." She managed to choke out, a few of her tears landing on Jensen's jersey. "I just want this to all be over."

Venus detached herself and moved to hug Sneaky. She forgave him before letting go and taking a step back.

"Now that we got that fixed there's someone who really wants to talk to you." Sneaky said.

Something new sparked inside Venus at the mention of Bunny, it was a combination of anger and sadness, and something she wasn't really sure of.

"It's not happening." She said sharply.

"Why not?" He asked her.

"I can't, it's not happening, that's all there is to say." Vee said.

"Vee just let hi-"

"I said no." Thankfully as she did so LOD came out of the arena. "I'll see you guys." She gave a small wave before running to be with LOD.

The two boys weren't really sure what to do, they were thankful that they had made up with Vee, but they felt defeated in the sense that they couldn't get her to talk to Bunny.

They watched as Vee and LOD walked by, Vee was slightly ahead of LOD, skipping and taking pictures of the fan meet.

"Hey." LOD said, approaching the two. "Just give her time, I'll try to help talk her into it alright? In the meantime though, I'll take good care of her, I promise." He smiled.

Jensen thanked him before watching him turn to catch up with the girl.

"I really hope Michael can fix this." Sneaky glanced at Jensen.

"Me too, I think he really fucked up leaving her, especially in that way."

Both of them knew that Vee wasn't going to just give in, but they knew Bunny might have at least a fighting chance at getting her back.

There's like 9 chapters and an epilogue left of this book woohoo!

I've kinda lost motivation for this story seeing that I'm getting high reads but not really any votes and it just seems to decline, I'm not really sure who I'm writing for anymore so... guess we'll see
