Chapter 7 ~ Getting along with each other

Gabe's POV
I was out to go hang with some people, until I saw Arianna all alone with her knees against her chest and her head resting on her knees. That's when I felt a pang of guilt, even though I haven't done anything. I couldn't have left her by herself, so I approached her and pulled her into a hug.

Then minutes later, I heard a light snore and I carried her bridal style all the way back to my house, because I knew she was only gonna get handled badly back at her place.

I layed her on my bed, tucked her inside the blankets. Afterwards, I changed in to my pyjamas and grabbed my air mattress, for me to sleep on.

Arianna's POV
I flutter my eyes open as the alarm goes off, I stop the alarm and it took me a second to realise that this wasn't my room. Where am I? All I remembered from yesterday was, that I was in an alley. Then I heard Gabe's morning voice, which sounded quite hot.

G:"Why do you wake up early in the morning? School doesn't start till 9am." He rubs his eyes then stretches.
Ari:"Because, it times me to do all my stuff before Melissa comes down." I yawn.
G:"You need to sort this out, this can't go on forever."
Ari:"I know it can't, ugh, can we talk about this some other time?"
G:"I'll let it go, only because it's school."
Ari:"Good. So I'm gonna have to go back to my house." I get off the bed and put on my shoes.
G:"Ok, I'll walk you." He gives a little smile.

Ari:"I'm only next door, you know." I chuckle a tiny bit at how ridiculous that was.
G:"At least I'm trying to be nice." I just smile and leave.

I do my morning routine and change into a fresh outfit. Downstairs, I pack my lunch rapidly however I heard the voice that I didn't want to hear.

Mel:"You need to put makeup on, before you go. People will start to detect why you're having bruises."
Ari:"I'm not going to put on make up, I'll make them think that I'm accident prone." I continue and headed towards the door, but she blocked my way.
Mel:"Listen you twerp, you are gonna do what I say."

I pushed her out of the way and quickly exited the house.

When I got to school, I could see Bailey and the others standing by the gate, there's no escaping now. As I made it to the end of the crossing, Bailey hugs me straight out and I was amazed at how fast she got here, I hugged her back.

She gasps as she sees my black eye.

B:"How did that happen? You can trust us, we care."
She points at my black eye.
Ari:"I'll tell you, at break."

*bell rings*

I enter in the food room where I get to sit next to Gabe! Today we have to make a beef burger and we get to choose our partners. My girls were not in our class, like Gabe's boys weren't in either so we both partnered up.

It came to the meat bit where you mush it up into a ball. I didn't like the feel of meat, its freaky weird for me. Gabe, being the gentlemen he is, did it for me... And squishes it near my ear. All I can say is, grimy.

G:"How was that?" He still does it.
Ari:"No, its making me cringe so hard." I then squeal a little in disgust.

He stops and puts both burgers in burger form. I secretly, added a load of chilli to it so then Gabe can have it, making him burn his tongue. My little prank, you could say to SPICE things up. Get it?

Bailey, Kaycee, Tati and I were talking and they all brought up my black eye. Probably going to add the step mum crisis. I explained to them what actually happen and they were in shock.

T:"Ari, you don't have to go though this by yourself. You've got us, we're here for you." She said with a sentimental voice.
Kay:"Yeah you can trust us, marshmallow." She shoulder hugs me.
Ari:"Thanks girls, I'm glad to be friends with you all."
B:"Make that Best friends, bitch." We all chuckle a little bit and group hugged before my favourite lesson.

*bell rings*

Our class are working tones, we had to use different tones on an object. When I look up from my paper, I kept on seeing Gabe staring at me and it may seem creepy to you but, I didn't mind.

As we carry on toning, Kenneth began to talk to me.

K:"Arianna, I'm sorry for what I did to you at your first day here."

Wow, this day could be a good day. And because I'm feeling happy, I'm gonna forgive him.

Ari:"Its cool, no hard feelings." I punch him lightly.
K:"Great. What happened to your eye?"

Here we go again.

Ari:"I got whacked, when a ball flew into my eye quite hard." I hid my lie with a little smile.
K:"Ohh, you should've stayed home then at least you had some rest."
Ari:"Enough about that, you and Bailey are like this." I whispered, crossing my index finger with my middle finger.
K:"Ye–wait, how do you know? Did she tell you?" He was filled with questions, looking bemused.
Ari:"It's sooooo obvious, when we were in Biology. Staring at each other. You two are really adorable." I gave him a side hug.

His face kinda looked flushed, as he scratched the back of his neck. I ship baiken however, if he hurts her, then he's dead meat. Simple as.

I casually walk down the pathway to my house then Gabe caught up with me, eating some crisps.

G:"Want one?" He offered the crisps.
Ari:"Nah, I want to be healthy."

There was silence for a second, afterwards we laughed our asses off. Healthy? Hell nah.

G:"We should do something fun, after doing the boring food homework." He gets hyped.
Ari:"What did you have in mind?"
G:"We could go, bowling and then grab something to eat. As friends." He grins adorably.

I couldn't say no, so I accepted but a little bit disappointed that it wasn't date, which I would've liked. Eh, we're still spending time together.

Ari:"We're friends ay? What happened to 'Arianna the geek' huh?" I cross my arms.
G:"Oh yeah, I apologise for bullying you and for calling you a geek." He places his arm around my shoulders, giving me a shoulder hug.

A smile appeared on my face as I get butterflies in my stomach, which felt good to me. We exchanged phone numbers so, he could text me what time I can come over. For Saturday.

As I entered the house in a calm manner, I was confused to see suitcases. Who's leaving?

Gabe and Arianna made up,
Arianna has feelings for him, does he have feelings for her?
And whose leaving??
