Chapter 13 ~ Risk taking

•Lunch•

I went to the toilets, did my business and then, wash my hands. When I looked up at the mirror, I see Jordyn leaning on the door with her devilish smirk again. That never gets old, I guess.

J:"Oh hey Ari, heard you were dancing with Gabe. How was that?" A fake smile forms from her mouth.
Ari:"Good, actually. We made a great team." I sighed, with a hint of a smile.

She noticed that.

Before things could escalate, I exited the toilets but I was stopped by her as she holds my wrist hard.

J:"Don't forget our deal, keep away from him otherwise you will pay for it." She threatens me.

Then let's go of my wrist and I head to the hangout. Is she crazy? I don't now how to feel about that, maybe frightened as it involves knives. But its not worth staying away from him.

I ran up to the hangout, to see the girls and boys talking on the bench. There was space next to Gabe, however its a risk...that I'm willing to take. I sat next to Gabe.

G:"Hey Ari, what's up?" He offers a high five and I accepted his offer.
Ari:"Nothing much, how about you?"
G:"Feeling good as we won sweets and I had some fun dancing with you." He smiles, making me smile.

I can't believe it he enjoyed dancing with me! I'm getting my tingling sensation in my stomach again.

Ari:"I had fun with you too."

We stared at each other again, this time we were much closer to each other. I felt a hand on my shoulder, it could only be one person and I'll regret looking behind me.

I turned behind me to see Jordyn, narrowing her eyes at me for two seconds then puts on her smile.

J:"Ari, you wouldn't mind letting me sit next to Gabe, would you? Its really important."

Ari be the better person, don't let rage take over. Breathe in... Breathe out.

Ari:"No, I don't mind." I get up from my seat and we swapped places.

I'm back to standing on the spot, Kenneth pounds the table to get everyone's attention.

K:"I just want to tell you all something.. " He looked straight at Bailey. I knew he was gonna tell them.
G:"What is it dude?"
K:"Bailey and I are going out."

I quickly saw Tati and Kaycee, they're faces had rage written all over. Get ready for some arguments.

Kay:"Bailey, you go and blame me for being with Sean, saying they have no hearts and now you're going out with Kenneth. That's being a hypocrite." She stood up from where she sat.
B:"I know I know, I wanted to apologise after I realised what I said fell out of proportion. I'm sorry for what I said."
Kay:"Well, I'll think about accepting it. You hurt my feelings, he has changed as you can see." Then Kaycee took her stuff and left.

I was going to go after her, until Jordyn pushed past me going after her instead. Bailey, on the verge of tears, looks over to Tati and she ignored the whole situation as she's on her phone, keeping in her frustration.

Kenneth goes over to Bailey and comforts her. I wish things could've been more on the apologetic side then the anger and upset side.

The bell rings, so we attend to our different lessons.

Walking home from school, I thought what could I do with the Kaycee and Bailey situation.

G:"Wait up, strawbari."

I rolled my eyes since it would be hard work to get him away from me. I just ignore him and quickened my pace. He caught up with me in the end, giving me a 'why the fuck didn't you wait for me' look.

G:"Thanks for fucking waiting for me."
Ari:"Not now, Gabe." I sternly say, focusing on walking home.

He holds my wrist, which put me to a halt and then spins me, to his chest where once again we're face to face. My heart started beating in sync with his.

G:"What happened at lunch today and why are you ignoring me? You're usually cheerful.
Ari:"I have a lot of things to process in my mind that's all." I look down at the floor.
G:"Is it about your step mum? Call me if you want me to go to the police station with you. You don't have to do it alone." He picks up my chin, so that I'm looking into his eyes.

The feelings I had for him took over my body as we were in the moment. With no thinking, I kissed his lips. The kiss felt electrifying with sparks flying around.

Suddenly, I realise what I've just done. I've basically killed myself, I pulled away and sprint back home.

"Ari, wait!" Was all the last thing I heard.

I enter my house, open my bedroom door then slam it closed. I took off my shoes and bag, then flopped onto the bed.

"Fuck my life!" I screamed muffled with my pillow.

Yes, I got what I wanted but, I'm now in deep shit the next time I see her. I groan loudly and stayed in my position for an hour.

I sat up, crossed legged and holding a pillow against my chest.

A knock came from my door.

"Come in." I weakly say.

The door opened to reveal, Gabe. He walked over to me and sat on my bed.

"We need to talk."
