Chapter 2 ~ Kaycee keeping a secret/sleepover part 1

I heard my phone vibrate, which means another day of torture. I get up, do my morning routine and change into my outfit of the day, putting on my glasses.

I get a message from my phone.

From Bailey🍒
Hey, I'll wait for you by the school gate😊

To Bailey🍒
Alright, thanks😃

I get my bag, go to the kitchen and took some cereal bars. I made lunch rapidly and left before the wicked stepmother comes down.

I try to search for Bailey through the crowd of people and found her waving. I walked to her, seeing the others with her.

B:"Heya, how's your morning?"
Ari:"Tiring, at least it's Friday."
T:"That means sleepover weekend!" She punches her fist in the air.
Kay:"Ari, can you make it to the sleepover?"

A weekend without Mel, will probably help and I could actually live a little.

Ari:"Let me ask my dad and mum. Send me your address, then he could drive me there."
B:"Alright, its all settled."

The bell rings, so Kaycee and I go to cooking class. When we arrived, people were looking for their seat on the board. It took one glance for me to see who I was sitting next to me.

Gabe.

G:"I guess we're together for the whole year." He seemed disappointed of the seating arrangement.

I just gave him no comment, less talk does less damage. I ignored him for the lesson, that's when we had to do a project together. Its due in 2weeks so, I won't worry until that weekend.

•Break time•

I arrive to the hangout, only to see Bailey. Hmm...

B:"If you were wondering they went to get some food from the canteen."
Ari:"That makes sense."
B:"How were your lessons? I've got biology homework to do."
Ari:"I've got homework from my cooking class and guess who I have to do it with." 

From my gutted look, she could figure out who it was.

B:"Oh no hun, is it...Gabe?"
Ari:"Yep and I'm not excited when that day comes."
B:"Let's look on the positive side we gonna have an awesome sleepover."

Tati came back by herself, that's weird. Isn't kaycee supposed to be with her?

T:"Kaycee said she was gonna ask for help on homework and it was gonna take the rest of break."
B:"Interesting, she never asks the teacher for help on homework. I mean who does?"
She puts on her thinking cap.
Ari:"Or maybe she's telling the truth, she wouldn't lie to you two."
T:"Arianna's right, we trust her. We can't inspect at every little detail."

We all agreed and ate our food.

In geography, we were learning how animals adapt to the weather and we got to watch a 30 minute video.

I was sitting next Kaycee while Sean and Gabe sit behind us. Why not bring up the subject?

Ari:"Did you understand your homework now?" I asked.
Kay:"What homework...Oh yeah, I understand it." She had a bit of nervousness in her voice.
Ari:"Kaycee, you know you can tell us anything."
Kay:"Yeah, I know."

After the conversation ended, it felt a little awkward. Somethings up though...

I'm back home, packing my clothes in my bag because, I'm determined that he will let me go. I walk towards his room, knock on the door and he opened the door, with his face popping out.

Ari:"Dad, can I go to a sleepover please?"
D:"You can but, only if there are no boys added to the equation."
Ari:"There won't be." I roll my eyes.
D:"Ok, let's go then." He grabs his coat and then we left.

*Ding Dong*

Tati opens the door and we give each other a hug, before dad and I entered.

Ari:"Your place is fabulous!" I look around the living room.
T:"Aww, thank you."
Tmum:"It's very nice to see you, you must be Arianna." She offers a handshake, so I shook it softly.
Ari:"It's nice to see you too, Mrs mcquay.
Tmum:"And you must be her father, how are you mr Gonzales?" The both shook hands.
D:"I'm doing well and you Mrs mcquay?"
Tmum:"I'm doing good, thank you. Would you like a cup of tea?"
D:"I'm going to have to nicely back down the offer, I was just on my way out so, goodbye." He left.

Bailey slid down the stairs on her ass, she seemed quite playful. She held out her two arms, so I helped her up.

B:"What's up, sis?"
Ari:"Nothing much, is Kaycee here yet?"
B:"Nope, why?"
Ari:"Just asking."

Bailey punches my face playfully, she's in a laughing mood. I punch her face playfully as well.

T:"Hey you two!? Get your butts over here, we're gonna make our own pizza.

Bailey and I scrambled over to Tati, beginning to look at the recipe. When we finish putting the toppings, we ended up making a big mess. I may have poured flour on our heads. Bailey placed the pepperoni's on our cheeks and Tati just stood there like an adult... But she loves us really.

After 20 minutes, we get out our pizzas and they were golden, like a professional.

B:"This came out awesome."
T:"That's what I expected, so now we watch a funny movie while we eat our homemade pizza." She goes to the pile of DVDs.
Ari:"That's a great plan! What should we watch?" Bailey and I put our food and drinks on the table.
T:"Err, deadpool?"
B:"Yeah, we could see some action." She tried to do some karate poses.

Tati puts on the movie, Bailey turns down the light and we all get comfortable. Halfway through the movie, there was a knock on the door.

T:"Bailey, could you get the door please?"
B:"Ari, could you–"
Ari:"Sure, I get you guys are lazy." I giggle a bit.

I walk towards the door and opened it, showing...
