Chapter 20 ~ The death run

It's 2 am in the morning, I've been staring at the wall for at least 3 hours. Tissues scattered around my bed, I couldn't stop thinking about my dad being dead.

I. Can't. Take it. Any longer.

I burst out of my covers, go out of the house and dashed to the lake by the field. My heart beats faster, my legs began to ache as I ran and, my breaths became more visible as the night was quite misty and cold.

I reached my destination. I layed on the bench staring at the peaceful lake, with the reflection of the stars in the sky. I let the wind be my blanket, my arms as the pillow and the stars be my protection.

Gabe's POV

I'm at school, approaching the squad then I quickly notice Ari isn't there. She's usually with the others, either laughing or revising sumthin'.
I give Sean and Ken a high five, the girls looked at me with suspicion.

G:"Why are you guys looking at me like that?"
T:"Jordyn told us you, kissed her and
She stopped you before things got escalated."
S:"Woah Gabe, that's low even for you."
G:"Lemme, explain. That girl has manipulated you, SHE kissed me and I sent her back to her house."
T:"And what makes me believe you?"
Kay:"She's the one who injected Ari with dangerous drugs. Also threatening her."
T:"Oh, sorry then. I should've been more cautious."Her head droops down.
G:"Don't worry, I should've too." I placed my hand on her shoulder, making her head rise and smile a little.
B:"Kaycee, Ken and I will try find her after school."
K:"Good idea."

*bell rings*

We all attend to our different lessons.

•Lunch•

We all gathered around the bench, chatting and having a laugh, till Jordyn comes over with a upsetting look on her face. Well acted out, my friend.

B:"Why even come crying to us?" She stood up with great temper.
J:"Because, I thought you were my friend?"
B:"You fucking disgust me, I just wanna..." She jumped put of her seat and attacked her with a slap then shoved her on the floor.
K:"Gabe, get the other side of her." I nodded, Ken and I put her to a halt.
Taking her back to the table, while she tried to get out of our grips.

Tati left the table, helped her up and took her somewhere. I'm surprised, she's still falling for her act.

B:"You can let go of me, I'm fine guys." We did as she wanted and return to our seats.
G:"You went crazy, like you got possessed."
B:"Did I? Maybe a little bit."
K:"I wouldn't say that, I'd say a whole  lot since you've basically beaten her up."
B:"Oh, don't act like the innocent person, you've done that to plenty of guys in this school." She sips her drink.
S:"She does have a point, man." Sean pipes up.
K:"I know, but-" He got interrupted by the school bell.

Bailey grabs her stuff and leaves without saying goodbye to Kenneth.
Shame, bro. Lol.

G:"Your girl seems pretty pissed, good luck there bro." I sniggered, putting on my backpack.
K:"Fuck off, at least my girl's here. Safe. Yours is where?" He leaves pushing past my shoulder with his shoulder.

He's right, I need to find her. That's it, I'm not waiting after rehearsals. I sneaked off to where we dug a tunnel out of the school.

I miss her. I need her.

Arianna's POV
I'm still at the lake, I brought my art things so, I could draw the calmness of the lake. I shouldn't have missed school today, I am missing my friends, especially Gabe.
