When I wake up, the sun is just starting to rise. I look around and realize Colton isn't in the room. I quickly get dressed and go to find him. Every door in the hall is shut, I don't open any of them. I walk into the living room, and get a whiff of syrup. I follow the smell out of the living room, and find myself in the kitchen. It's very big kitchen, with stainless steel appliances and clean black cabinets. As I admire this modern kitchen, I turn and see Cole and Morgan sitting at an island counter in the center. Colton is behind them cooking pancakes. Cole spots me looking around,

"Ah, she's awake. I was starting to think Colton was lying when he said you were here." He says playfully. Morgan jumps off her stool, and walks to the counter to pour a mug of coffee. She hands it to me saying,

"Don't worry, I told him you didn't have to talk to him until you've finished a cup of coffee."

"I don't mind talking in the morning, just no deep conversations you're going to hold me to later on, when I'm fully awake." I joke.

She giggles, and nods to Cole, "See, I told you. She is not a morning person."

Cole looks to Colton, "Come on bro, step in here, I think you can probably make her morning a little more enjoyable."

Colton turns, and glances first a Cole then at me.

"Jade, do you need cheering up. I think after last night I have gotten the hang of it."

I blush from head to toe, Cole and Morgan are trying to stifle giggles.

"I never said I needed cheering up, or that I'm not in an enjoyable mood. I just need a minute or two so I can fully wake up. For the record, Colton you make me very happy no matter what we are doing, so no need to hint at sex."

At this we all start laughing, Morgan says,

"Ok, come on its seven in the morning, can we not talk about sex already? I'm starving."

Colton looks at her, "Agreed, pancakes are done, let's eat."

He walks over, hugs me and plants a kiss on my forehead. Then turns and grabs a plate he sets on the counter.

"Here, eat. No more talking till you've finished your coffee. Cause as you told us, we can't believe a word you say, until it's gone."

I roll my eyes at him, but do as I'm told. The pancakes are delicious, and the coffee is a brand I've never had before, but it is wonderful. Morgan speaks up first,

"Cole, are you about ready? We have to get going soon or we will be late for work."

He nods, and they stand to say bye to both Colton and I. They leave and Colton turns to me,

"We have to be going soon too. I have a meeting this morning, and I don't want to be the reason you're late for work."

"Okay, I get the picture. You're kicking me out." I laugh.

"No, no, no, don't say that. I will call and reschedule my meeting, and you will be stuck here with me all day. All this just so I can convince you, I am NOT kicking you out." He responds, very serious.

"I was just joking, I know you're not kicking me out. You are just looking out for me."

"That's better, now let's go before I do decide to keep you here." He laughs.

I make it to work with just three minutes to spare. Mondays are usually my busiest days, spent catching up on everything, and making sure everything from the week before went as planned, or fix it if it didn't. My morning flies by in a blur of calls, and memos. Vanessa pokes her head out of her office,
