The next day I wake up before the alarm goes off, looking over its only 6:40am. Not too early, the alarm was set for 7. I make my way downstairs to make a quick breakfast before the movers arrive. I cook two ham and cheese omelets, and make my way upstairs to wake Colton. He is still sleeping sprawled out on his stomach he looks so young when he sleeps. Sitting on the edge of the bed, I gently rub his back. He slowly rolls over smiling at me, then pulls me to him for a kiss.
"I love waking up to you." He smiles.
"Get used to it, after today you won't have a choice." I joke.
"I love you."
"I love you too. Now get up, breakfast is waiting." I say as I walk out the door.
Just as I finish my omelet the doorbell rings, I get up to answer it.
"I'll get it." Colton says getting out of his chair.
"No, you finish eating, I got it."
I kiss him, before making my way to the door. It's Kane, dangling keys in my face, smiling.
"I stopped by and got the keys and paperwork to your new house!" He says hugging me.
"Wow, thanks! What are you doing here?"
"I came to help you, while Colton is with the movers packing his stuff."
"Well, come in. Colton is finishing breakfast in the kitchen."
In the kitchen Kane throws the keys at Colton, they barely miss his face before he catches them.
"Thanks, I knew you were good for something." He jokes with Kane. "Thanks for coming to look after my girl, I have to get going."
We spend the next few hours packing up boxes with the movers, it goes fairly quickly. Once the truck is packed, the movers head to the new house where Colton is waiting for them. I walk through the house once more, to make sure nothing was forgotten. Colton and I have decided to leave most of the furniture here, and buy new furniture for the new house. Satisfied nothing was left behind, I meet Kane in the living room.
"Ready to go?" He asks.
"Yup, let's go."
We had the movers tow my car to the new house, thanks to my ankle I can't drive yet. So Kane is driving his car, packed with a few necessities in the backseat.
"Are you excited to be officially moving in with Colton?"
"It was my idea, remember? Yes, I'm excited!"
"You guys seem really happy together, I'm happy for you."
"Thanks, I am very happy!"
We pull up outside of the house, and see Colton standing on the front steps, directing the movers where to go. Kane has agreed to stay and make sure the movers are all set, while Colton and I go furniture shopping. I check the time, Morgan should be here any minute to help out. They should be fine, and they know to call us if they need anything.
We arrive at a huge 3-story furniture store, with a warehouse in the back that's probably four times the size. Colton said they guarantee everything can be delivered the same day, so we don't have to wait. I'm starting to discover, Colton doesn't wait for much of anything. A few hours later we have picked out enough to furnish every room, and I'm sure we have spent a fortune. Colton wouldn't tell me how much anything cost, and he wouldn't let the sales people tell me either. After he pays, the salesman tells us everything will be delivered in the next hour. In the car headed back home, I can't help but ask,
