When I wake in the morning, I hear Morgan singing softly from the bathroom. I get up and head into the bathroom,

"What are you doing in here?" I ask.

"Well, with everyone here I didn't think you would mind if I snuck in here to take a shower."

"No, that's right I forgot everyone stayed last night. No worries."

"Look on the night stand, by the bed, before you go downstairs."

"Okay, I will see you when you're done."

I brush my hair into a ponytail, and brush my teeth before leaving the bathroom. I walk into the closet and change into some yoga pants and a tank top. Not the cutest outfit, but it's comfy. Once I'm dressed I walk over to the night stand. Sitting there is one of my pain pills, and a fresh glass of water. I take the pill and gulp the water. Leaning against the night stand is a pair of crutches, I giggle at the fact that someone thought of them. I feel a lot better today, but it is hard to walk with this stupid splint on my ankle. I am very thankful for the crutches as I try to make my way downstairs. I wobble into the kitchen, where I find my mom busy at the stove. She turns as I sit on a barstool,

"Good morning, I hope you're hungry!"

She says as she hands me a plate of food, and a glass of orange juice. I'm starving, and start eating immediately. She has gone all out, scrambled eggs, home fries, hash, bacon, sausage and toast. I eat everything on my plate, and down the entire glass of orange juice. I put my plate and glass in the dishwasher, then give her as big a hug I can manage without wincing.

"Where is everyone?" I ask.

"Morgan and Emma are showering, Kane is out with those P.I. guys, Emma, Cole and Vanessa are in the back yard, and Colton is in the living room with some lawyer."

"Thanks Mom."

I grab my crutches and make my way into the living room. Colton and the lawyer stand when I enter the room. Colton kisses my cheek, and turns to introduce me,

"Jade, this is Mr. Frank Kurland my attorney. Frank this is my girlfriend Jade."

"Pleased to meet you, Mr. Kurland." I shake his hand.

"Please call me Frank. I wish we could be meeting under better circumstances, Miss Gibbons."

"Jade, please. I'm sure Colton has shown you all the paperwork I have to help us in the case?"

"Yes, Ma'am."

"Then you have already seen, these are better circumstances."

"Yes, Ma'am. I am sorry."

"Frank, please I don't need sympathy. I just need Trevor out of my life. I hear you are the man that can do that for me?"

"Yes, of course. Let's get down to business."

Frank and I talk for about an hour, discussing the details of last year's attack, and this one. He shows me all of the evidence he has received form Kane and the P.I's. He sounds very confident, and assures me we have a solid case, no matter how much money Trevor throws at us. He has already gotten the judge to set the bail at $50,000, which is an enormous amount for the charges. During our entire conversation Colton hasn't said a word, he is sitting back, letting me run the show. I'm asking the questions, and Frank is answering to me. It makes me feel powerful, especially after yesterday's incident. Frank has brought along the police report for me to sign, so we don't have to go to the station. He said from now on any contact with police or lawyers will be handled either by him or in his company. If anyone tries to contact me regarding the case, I am to contact him right away. He gave me his business card, and hand wrote his cell number on it, telling me to call anytime day or night. After he leaves, I am a lot more confident than I was before. I really think things will be different this time. I have so many great people behind me, helping fight Trevor.
