Chrom

"We're finally home!" I exclaimed as the Shepherds and I entered the castle.

Emmeryn was there to greet us. "Welcome back, all of you. Tonight we will celebrate your return at dinner."

I smiled at her. "Thanks, Emm, it's good to be back home..." I looked to my right as I saw Anna approach. I smiled at the sight of her.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Emm make some kind of face.

"Well, I think all of you know where I'm going!" She refrains herself from kissing my cheek. "See ya at dinner, Chrom!"

Everyone else dispersed and Emmeryn and I were the only two people left. I can't keep this from her... I have to tell her! "Emm... I need to tell you something."

Emmeryn got that responsible older sister look on her face and stood closer to me. "Of course. You can tell me anything."

I took a deep breath. "N-now's not the time and place," I gulped. "I'm sorry for bringing this up and dropping it, but can you meet me later tonight in the west wing so that I can tell you?"

Emm put a comforting hand on my shoulder. "Of course, Baby Brother. You can take all the time you need to prepare for what you want to tell me."

"Hey! I'm not a baby!"

Emm laughed. "You will always be a baby to me, no matter how old you are," she sighed. "I still remember carrying you everywhere we went before you learned to walk... And once you learned, you broke anything you crashed into. I'd have to hold you while you cried, and then have to scold you for breaking things. I still do that, well, the scolding part at least."

I turned away, embarrassed. Oh yes, you and Anna will get along just fine! "Well! This conversation is officially over! I'll see you later, Emm."

...

"Can you meet me on the west balcony later tonight?" I asked Anna, who was reading a book in her little-secluded corner in the library.

She looked up from her book. "What are you planing?" she asked.

I smiled at her. "You'll just have to wait and see, my love."

She sighed. "Fine. What time?" she asked.

"Nine o' clock sharp."

"Alright, for some reason this scares me, but... I guess I'll just have to see what you have planned," she smiled.

"Thank you, love." I walked over to her and kissed her head.

I turned to walk away, but I felt her tug at my cape. I turned and rolled my eyes. Then I get closer, put my hands under her jaw, and kissed her on the lips this time. Weird, usually I'm the clingy one who asks for kisses. I'm not complaining, though...

We parted, both smiling widely. "I'll see you later, my love."

...

"Alright, Chrom. What did you want to talk about?" Emmeryn asked as I approached her at the door to the west wing of the castle.
