Anna

I await the return of the Feroxi spy, along with Chrom and the Khans.

After what felt like hours, the spy runs into the strategy tent. "The Exalt is to be executed at the castle on the morrow. I heard it from the king's own lips, sire," he reports.

"That is it, then," Basilio growls.

Chrom turned to me. "Exactly as you predicted, Anna." I could see the panic in his eyes.

"So far, yes. But tomorrow will be the true test..." I muttered.

"Chin up, there! Show some confidence! It's your thinking that's got us this far." Flavia slapped me on the back, a little too rough for my liking, but I chose to say nothing. "The plan is risky, but only as much is called for."

Chrom placed a hand on my shoulder. "We'll find a way to see it through, Anna. Don't worry. This time tomorrow, we'll be swapping stories with Emm on the road home."

It's all up to me... If my plan doesn't work, I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive myself. "I hope you're right."

...

"EVERYONE: NOW!" As Flavia's ax dug itself into the back of Emmeryn's executioner, I bellowed for my soldiers to take position.

"Take out all the soldiers first! We'll deal with the Mad King later!" Chrom shouted.

"Oh, will you now?" Gangrel sneered. "We've been expecting you, Little Prince. Men: Kill him. Kill his sister. Kill his troops and his friends and anyone else you find! KILL THEM AAAAAAAAAALL!"

...

"Anna! Their wyvern riders have fallen! The skies are clear! I'm giving the signal!" Chrom shouted to me as he addressed the Pegasus Knights.

"Your Grace!" Phila desperately cried out for Emmeryn, face contorted in both relief and horror. Beneath all of that, I sensed another hidden feeling. What that was, I did not know.

Emmeryn's eyes widened, reaching out for the knight. "Phila! I'm so glad to see you're safe! But how-"

"Khan Basilio's man freed me. Come, we must hurry!" Before anyone could say anything, she spurred her Pegasus into motion, shooting up towards the Exalt.

"What? Pegasus Knights? How did they... That damned Ylissean tactician does NOT play fair!" Gangrel looked like he was about to pull his hair out

No, no I do not... Just then, Aversa maniacally laughed. "Heh heh heh... yes, well. Neither do I." As she spoke, dark magic rose around her. At her command, dozens of undead soldiers arose, ready to kill.

"Risen?! Oh gods, no! Chrom! There are Risen everywhere!" I cried.

"Damn! Not now!"

"Bwa ha ha! Oh, did an army of living corpses just appear out of the blue?! Truly, the heavens smile upon mighty King Gangrel this day!" Gangrel laughs in that ugly way that made me want to run a sword through his gut.

The archers shot down the what Pegasus Knights remained with little to no effort. NO!!! NO GODS, NO!!! NOT NOW!!!
