Ship Wreck

Before I went haywire

I felt the salt at sea

I could feel the wind at my back

I could see as far as destiny

I look over the hem of the boat

It's rail gleaming copper brown

I could see the real ship

And make its frown turn upside down

I knew which path to take

port or starboard

but the captain and the parrot

all wanted me as their lord

so I was torn to decide

to choose riches and fame

or freedom off the ship

but picking one

would leave the other of shame

so before we reached that jagged rock

that sat like a rover

I took one last look at my friends and family

and leaped right over
