A burning filled my lungs. Bubbles were leaving my nose and mouth from my scream while entering. I could hear an abrasion in the water. My eyes were glossed over. Everything was blurry. I couldn't swim, I was thrashing around trying to get some friction that could help me get to the air.
I felt two arms wrap around me. I stopped thrashing and let the person help. I couldn't tell who it was. They pulled me close to themselves and started swimming to the surface. I let in a large gasp once up. The other person was breathing loudly through his nose.
I was shivering, my teeth chattering. I could hear loud arguing. The person swam me to the side of the pool and help me up. I started to cough up the water. It burned my throat coming back up. He was breathing heavily.
My heart was pounding in my chest. The person that had pulled me up had sat down next to me trying to catch his breath. I could hear Cameron's voice.
" Why the fuck would you do that!" He screamed.
But it wasn't from next to me. Which meant that the man that pulled me up isn't Cameron. I sat down and started to focus on making sure there wasn't any more water in my lungs. I jumped when someone touched my shoulder. I jumped at contact. The hand didn't leave my shoulder. I looked over.
It was the black haired man. He wasn't even shaking. He took off his leather jacket and swung it around my shoulders. He pulled it closed in front of my chest instead of zipping it up. I kept my eyes aligned with his. His held worry and concern.
" You okay?" He asked softly. I could see our breathes in front of us, slowly combining. I nodded slightly. He let out a breath of relief. " Lets get you inside." He said getting up.
He picked me up and held my body close to his chest. I couldn't feel any warmth coming from him. He came in through the way we came. He walked back to his room, the door was still open. I was still shaking, pins and needles of cold running through my skin. He set me down on the edge of bed still shaking.
" I'm going to get some clothes, okay? You can use the bathroom its right through there, just get out of the clothes you're in. You'll get sick" He said.
He left me alone in the room, still shivering and scared. I looked at the door of the bathroom. I took off his jacket feeling a breeze of cold air. My teeth started to chatter again. I walked in it and shut the door behind me. I looked around.
There was only a bathtub with a shower head in it and a sink. I locked the door and turned on the shower. I jumped at a knock. I looked at the door with fearful eyes. I wasn't opening it to one of those two crazy men.
" Kid, it's me, can you open the door?" Cameron voice asked through the door. I walked slowly towards it. I unlocked it with shaking hands. I kept my head down. My entire body shaking. He let out a sigh. " I'm so sorry, I didn't think they'd do that" he said apologetically. I remained still.
" You promised." I whispered softly.
He let out a sigh. " I know, I'm sorry." He said, his voice held so much regret. I was wrong for taking that risk " Are you okay? You're not hurt?" He asked worried.
I shook my head. " I'm fine" I whispered softly.
