She looked at me like she was in pain " Oh Nick" she mumbled. Her voice was soft like she was disappointed. She tightened her grip a little. I was calming down. My breathing was slow and steady. I laid against her savoring the comfort. My eyes were scrunched shut. I jumped when the door opened. I clutched onto Mrs. More tighter, burring my head into her stomach. My nose laid just above her belly button. I concealed my face in her stomach.

" Hilary?" The principle questioned. " what's wrong?" He asked.

" I need you to call the alpha" was all she said.

He looked at her confused. " Why? What's going on?" He asked. He walked up to us and touched my shoulder. I shrugged him off snuggling into Mrs. More tighter. She rubbed my hair like a mother would.

" just do it" she ordered in a more abrasive tone. Her grip on me tightened with a means of protection.

He walked out pulling his phone out. Once the door shut Mrs. More pulled away to look at me. She wiped away the tears streaming down my face.

" We'll get you out of there, I promise" she said. I pulled her into a hug as tight as I could. She was shocked at first then gladly returned it. I held onto her like my life depended on it. She began to run her fingers through my hair again. Her soft touch made me relax a little. I don't know how much time pass. All I know is she pulled away when the alpha showed up and bowed her head in submission. I did the same, but more as a natural response.

" why was I called down here?" He asked starring at me. " why is the beta's daughter here?" He asked

" let me just show you" Mrs. More mumbled. She walked over to me and grabbed my hand. She pushed my sleeve up and extended my arm. I didn't look at either of them. The alpha growled. Mrs. Mores hand was soon replaced with his as he examined himself. I kept my head down with great shame forming in my heart. He traced the burned making me flinch. His old eyes starred at me with confused. He laid my arm back down on my lap.

" Rieka" he called my attention.

I looked up at him. He scowled once he saw the bruises that painted my face. He kneeled down to seem less intimidating. I continued to shiver with fear as power emanated off him in waves. He put his hand on mine that laid on my knee. He looked at me with sadness in his eyes. His mouth opened slightly as he examined the amount of damage to my face.

He closed it and scowl " tell me who's doing this to you Ri" he ordered.

" it's her father. " Mrs more answered for me. I sent her a thankful glance. She looked at me with love in her eyes. The alpha looked at me confused.

He smelled the air. " your smell is different, have you found your mate?" He asked sending a powerful pain to form in my chest. I could feel my eyes filling with tears. I nodded. He looked at me confused " why are you crying?" He asked. His voice full is sincerity.

" because he rejected her" Mrs. More answered. I held in my whimper of despair. His face dropped. He growled.

" who is it?" He asked with determination in his voice.

" your son" my voice came out small and weak.

He looked taken back. " also one of the kids that I have told you about that hurt her" Mrs. More added.

He growled louder and got up. "I'll kill the fool!" He exclaimed as he started walking. I reached out and grabbed his wrist. He stopped and froze. He looked back at me confused.

" he had every right to reject me, forcing him to mate won't make him love anyone. He has Bethany, he's in love with her. Not me" I said bringing the alpha back to his senses. Tears streamed down my face like a waterfall. "just leave him alone" I ordered with a powerful sadness in my voice.
