Chapter 3;
*Loki's Point Of View*
I followed her into her apartment. It was small. Puny compared to my home on Asgard. I didn't say anything because she was giving me hospitality and without it I would have no where to go. She showed me around so that I knew where everything was before showing me the spare room.
"Well here is your room." Phoebe was holding open the door to let me in. I took in the colours, again they were green and black. I nodded approvingly looking around some more.
"you seem to have quite a colour theme here." I felt my lips curl into a smile and she laughed at the comment. She looked around and then agreed.
"Yeah, they're my favorite colours." She smiled shyly. I laughed. "Mine too. I believe the two colours compliment each other nicely." We stood there for a moment in silence as we both looked around the room.
"Well, I'm starving so do you want something to eat?" She asked suddenly picking up her tone. She smiled and skipped to her small kitchen. Midgardians and there ways to express happiness confuse me. I followed her and sat down making my self comfortable.
She looked through her pantry and frowned at her discovery. She looked at me and thought for a second.
"PIZZA!" She screamed, startling me. What is pizza I thought. She sensed my confusion and looked at me again. "Have you never heard of pizza?!"
I smiled awkwardly, "No." I said truthfully. In a heartbeat she picked up her mobile phone device and punched in a number. I listened as she spoke to another Midgardian mumbling nonsense about pepperoni and deep pan. I stayed silent until she put the device down.
"It will be here soon." She smiled and bounded towards me before sitting down on the floor directly in front of me.
"I didn't take you for someone with slaves. And why do you keep sitting on the floor when one has perfectly good chairs?" I asked quizzically. She had sat down on the grass in the clearing when there were small wooden tables and benches around. And now she was sitting on the floor in her appartment.
She scoffed at my comment. "I don't have slaves!" She smiled and continued, "It's a Pizza parlour and they deliver food to you and then you pay for it. And I like sitting on the floor, It's comfortable." I really do not understand this Human. I shook the thought away and nodded.
"Okay so why don't I collect the pizza once delivered and there will be no charges because I am a God!" She scoffed again. I sent her a glare but it only made her laugh more. How dare she laugh! I could easily kill her without hesitation! "Why are you laughing?!" She wiped away a tear that had escaped from her right eye from laughing.
"You literally just tried to take over Earth, I don't think you will be getting special treatment. Not to mention that if The Avengers capture you, then you will be put back in that Glass Chamber!" She bit her lip she realized what she said.
"How do you know of the Glass Prison?! Are you a Spy of Nick Fury?!" I stood up, anger building inside of me.
"No! I'm not, I promise! I just work for S.H.I.E.L.D okay?!" She looked down, "I'm sorry, I should've told you, I'm not going to turn you in though! I thought if you knew then I would'nt be able to help" I sat back down, I was infuriated by the fact that she hadn't told me, But I believed that she wouldn't tell anyone where I was.
I had learned previously that people became workers for S.H.I.E.L.D because either they have abilities Like The Avengers or have a higher intelligence level than most other pathetic humans. I smirked again.
"So how did you get into S.H.I.E.L.D? Everyone gets in for a reason?" I sat leaning in waiting for her reply. She scratched her arm and looked down.
"I have umm... an Ability I guess you can call it." She smiled awkwardly. I was intrigued by this. I hushed my tone and leaned in closer.
"whats your ability then?" She looked at me.
"well I can umm, here what people think, and know what they will say before they say it sometimes." A smirked played at the corner of my lips. "What am I thinking now?" I asked.
"I don't like to use it on people, sometimes I hear things I really don't want to." Her smile had dropped completely now and I sensed it must be a sensitive subject for her. I rested my hand on her shoulder gently.
"You listened to my story, Its my turn to listen to yours."
