Chloe's pov

As I sat in the car, I was slowly falling asleep. Mark tapped my leg anytime I did. Well let's think, it's my first day of school, I'm nervous and I'm tired. I sighed and stared out the window. This was my first time going to a school in years. At the orphanage we didn't really go to school, we would get small lessons from a tutor who would come in once a day. I noticed that we had arrived at the school, my heart began to race, and my stomach jumped in my throat. "Okay, ready kiddo?" Mark asked. I said nothing and exited the car. Mark had did the same. We walked into the building, as I noticed kids were staring at us. After I had gotten a paper with my locker and classes, Mark and I said our goodbyes. As I walked the opposite way of him, I looked back and a tear rolled down my cheek. I found my class and the bell had already rang, but I wasn't late. I hesitated to open the door, and as I did all eyes fell to my direction.
"Oh, you must be our student, Chloe Fischbach, is it?" the teacher asked. My throat was dry and I did not, and I mean did not want to speak, so I had just nodded. "Okay well, your seat is next to Galaxy, can you please raise your hand." A girl with black hair with dark blue highlights raised their hand. I slowly made my way to her and sat down. After the teacher gave instructions, she had came to me. I received my books and worksheets from her.
"Are you the girl that came in with Markiplier?" Galaxy had asked as we worked. I slowly looked at her.
"Yes I am, why?" I asked. She got out of her seat and knelt by me, to appear she was helping me with my work.
"See that girl, there?" she pointed to a girl with long brown hair. It went all the way down to her waist. I looked at her and nodded. "That's Courtney."
"What's wrong about her?" I was confused on why Galaxy was pointing her out to me.
"I know her, she's a complete freak when it comes to Mark. One time I mentioned him in something on Twitter, and he liked and retweeted it. She's found out, and started to talk to me, but when she found out I had no connections with him, she got everyone in our class to hate me," Galaxy explained, "she's gonna do the same to you. She'll try to be come best friends just to get close to Mark, then she'll try to get you out of the picture." I started to get worried, would Mark give me up for someone better? Should I improve myself?
"Thank you for warning me," I stuttered.
"Well class will end soon, I noticed that you have lunch with me, come find me," she said, and started to park her stuff.
I had three classes before lunch and I sure am hungry. Mark packed me a lunch, my favorite grilled cheese, with some chips, and juice. As I entered the cafeteria, I saw Galaxy going to one of the tables by the windows. I ran after her and called her. She looked back at me and waved me over. I sat at the end of the table, and there were three others by us talking.
"Hey girl what's up?" A girl asked. I was sitting there very awkwardly.
"Oh nothing, guys I want you to meet Chloe," Galaxy introduced me.
"Hi," I said awkwardly.
"Hey! The name's Kyle, and you can hit me up anytime," a boy with dark hair said to me.
"Dude leave the girl alone, she isn't interesting you, and you stupidness," the girl said, "Hi, I'm Crystal."
"Was he flirting with me?" I asked.
"Yeah, Kyle thinks he's so cool and that he can get any girl in school," Galaxy said.
"I'm Carter," a boy with light hair said. He was kind of cute, and at the thought I felt my cheeks turn a light pink.
"Do you have a phone?" Crystal asked. I nodded and got it out. We all exchanged phone numbers, and kik names, after I got the app on my phone.
Not too long after lunch and Carter walked me to my next class, since his was next to mine. I thanked him. As I entered the class, the teacher told me where my seat was. A few students had entered, and one of them was Courtney. She looked at me and smiled, then sat next to me.
"So your my new partner. I'm Courtney!" she said cheery. I thought about Galaxy had told me, but how do I know for sure if I don't see for myself.
"Hi, I'm Chloe," I introduced myself, "You're in my first hour, right?"
"Yeah," she smiled, "can I ask you something?"
"Well you kind of just did, but ask away," I said. She giggled a little.
"You're funny, but is it true? Is Markiplier your dad?" she asked. I guess that part about her being a fan of Mark is true.
"Oh yeah it is, why?" I asked getting scared.
"You know you're a really lucky girl," she said. I never realized how long we were talking, because class was almost over. We stopped talking and focused on what the teacher was saying. Once the bell, I gathered my things, and stood up from my seat. "Hey Chlo, is it okay if I call you that?" Courtney asked.
"Yeah I don't see why not?" I replied.
"Okay that's good!" she handed me a small piece of paper, "text me sometime."
"Will do," I smiled and went to my next class. The day went by pretty fast. Soon enough I was staring the clock, waiting to go home. The bell rang and and just like the other kids I ran out. I ran all the way outside to see Mark across the street with Chica. She saw me and started barking. I ran up to them. Mark took my book bag, and I took Chica's leash. As we walked home, I told Mark about my day. He was proud that I talked to someone, especially knowing how I am.
