20. Found her!

3rd person

Chloe was most absolutely sick of this. She had got to find a way out, she just have to. That psycho is going down.
   As she was sitting by the stairs, she was waiting. Courtney normally comes around this time. Chloe had a plan.
    "Oh Chlo' are we ready for some more torture?" Courtney called from the top of the stairs. She is crazy! "Chlo'? Chlo'? Chloe!"
     Chloe snuck up behind her, and tackled her to the ground. Courtney tried fighting back, but she was too weak. Chloe hit Courtney's head on the concrete floor, and it knocked her out.
She got up and ran up the stairs. It was like a cabin thing. Chloe heard voices, and quietly left.
It was night, and she in a forest. Chloe was lonely, and scared. She decided to sing. It always brought her comfort.
"If only a touch. If just for a moment, is somewhere, that someone, who I can hold? Is somewhere, that someplace, where I can go? Am I living a life that seems frozen in time? Searching for warmth, but my world is cold, and I'm Stuck in a dream, with no end it seems. Can I find a way? Find a way. Find a way," she sang walking through the forest.
Could she find her way home?

Carter was at home, after searching with Mark. He was miserable without her. School wasn't the same. The weekends weren't the same. Nothing was the same. He had remembered a song. Chloe would sing it, so he thought it would cheer him up.
"Days turn to years, and it seems for a lifetime. I've tried going solo, been on my own. Can I find, that something, for this heart of stone? Am I living a life that seems frozen in time? Searching for warmth, but my world is cold And I'm Stuck in a dream, with no end it seems Can I find a way? Find a way. Find a way," he sang.
Carter could wait any longer, so he grabbed a jacket and snuck outside. As he was walking to the forest, he continued to sing,
"I've spent life concealed. Too much time unseen. I'm wondering why, I'm stuck in between."

As Chloe walked, she held herself for warmth, since it was a little cold. She did continue to sing.
"The closer I get, I push love away. It just causes heartache, heartache and pain."
"I've tried letting go, now I want to hold on," Carter and Chloe sang.
"Find a way," Chloe sang while stopping to take a breather.
"Find a way," Carter sang, taking a breather too.
"Find a way," Chloe felt lonely, like no one was there.
"Find a way," Carter sang stopping at the edge of the forest.
"Find a way," Chloe was gaining strength to push forward, "and I'm living a life that seems for in time."
"Searching for warmth, my world is cold," Carter proceeded into the forest.
"And I'm stuck in a dream with no end it seems," they sang together.

      Each of them saw the shadow of each other, only not knowing it. Chloe was ready to fight. Carter had hope it was her, but if not he would fight.
      "Find a way," Carter sang moving forward.
      "Find a way," Chloe moved closer as well.
      "Find a way," they sang together running at each other. Chloe tackled Carter to the ground.
     She realized who it was, and quickly back away. They stared at each other.
      "Find a way," Chloe sang as Carter repeated. He stood up helping her up.
      "Find a way," they sang together quietly.

    Carter took her to the cops, where Mark and his parents met the kids. Mark was happy to have Chloe back. The cops were able to get Courtney the help she needs, and Andrea and Brianna were sent to a juvenile prison.
    Everything went back to normal, well not everything. There is a little relationship working it ways into the future.
