The Chase (11)

I'm practicing my penny board skills when low and behold the devil skateboards right beside of me.

"Hey." Luke smirks

"Go away."

"That's no way to speak to your best friend."

"YOU. poke. LOST. poke. THAT. poke. TITLE. poke. A. poke. LONG. poke. TIME. poke. AGO." By now I was poking him. I had poked him so far that he had fallen in the bowl. I run up to the dog park and get Bullet and Rhino. All of a sudden Bullet and Rhino start pulling me. I get tangled in the leash and I fall on my butt, losing the leashes. I try to get back up, but once again I trip on air. I see that Rhino has ran to Luke. Of course it WAS his dog, but Bullet is no where to be seen. Finally I spot him; a man is picking him up and taking him to what I'm guessing is his car.

"Excuse me sir, that's my dog." I say.

"Well I don't see-"

"Look on the tag. It says my name, he also has a chip."

"Too bad." He says throwing my dog in the back, getting in his car,and jumping a curb to get away. I fall to my knees. I see Bullet looking out the window having a fit. Luke tries chasing the car, the man just pushes the gas. Luke runs all the way back to me, pulls me up, and drags me to his car. We hop in. We start the chase; weaving in between cars. I call everyone I know. Soon enough I see my friends. Each have one car. Five cars against one. What can go wrong?

"Sir you do realize you were speeding?" The cop says.

"I understand that but-"

"Sir, you will need to pay this amount and come in."

"Someone stole my girlfriends dog-"

"That's no excuse, please refrain from yelling or I may have to take you in the station."

Finally the cop let's us go.

"I AM NOT YOUR GIRLFRIEND! YOU LOST ME A LONG TIME AGO!" I yell.

"Let me out!"

"Excuse me?"

"Luke, I said LET ME OUT!"

He stops, I wait a little for Peyton to come pick me up. We start the chase again. I tell her everything about what happened. We finally get to the mans house. He gets Bullet out he tries to run away but the man tugs on his collar.

"Let Bullet go."

"You mean Death." The thief says.

"What?"

"I changed the dogs name."

"He's not just a dog. He's my dog." I say grabbing Bullet's leash.

The thief and I tug the leash back and forth. Back and forth. Just by looking at Bullet you can see he is distressed. He looks as if he wants to tear this man up. Finally I kick the man in the shin. Grab the leash and put Bullet in my car. Peyton kicks him for good measure too.

"What did I miss?" Luke says.

Joe tells him the story. The next thing I know Luke puts the thief in his car. I see Luke look down at his phone, I see some things haven't changed.

"Yea I've got him. I'll be down there in a minute Jake." I hear Luke say.

What in the world?
