Dionysus: God of the vine
--------------------------------------------
Dan was more than happy that the next morning was Saturday, meaning no classes. It's not like he did like them or anything, he just wasn't a morning person, and Chris knew that most out of everybody.Speaking of Chris, why in the hell was he knocking on his door at 11 am?
"Oi, Dan!" He called "Get up! Me and Peej are going for coffee and you're coming with us!"
Dan groaned, rolling himself off the couch. Sure, he'd been up for a while, but he still wasn't dressed or had his hair straightened. And, knowing Chris, he'd barely have enough time to put a sock on due to how eager he could get to see his boyfriend.
"Ugh, that means I'm a third wheel again!" Dan called back, finding t-shirt to throw on before letting Chris into his dorm. He looked rather fancy compared to his usual attire, but that wasn't a surprise to Dan. Pj was going to be there after all.
"Oh, you don't third wheel, Dan. PJ doesn't mind, and neither do I. We'll include you" Chris smiled softly at Dan, the slightly shorter boy rolling his eyes
"Whatever" he sighed, going to plug in his straightener before Chris interrupted his duties again.
"No time for primping today, Daniel" he scolded, taking his hand and tugging him out the door behind him.
"No! Chris, you have to let me! I sound enough like a little posh boy, I don't need to look like one!" Dan exclaimed, his curls tight and and bouncy atop his head.
Chris chuckled softly "Too bad. You're leaving them" he let go of Dans hand, letting him walk on his own. Dan sighed, but continued to follow anyway, making conversation with Chris until they got to Starbucks.
*
"Chrissy!" PJ exclaimed as they arrived, Chris sliding into the seat next to PJ with a hot cup of espresso in hand, Dan siting down across from them with a caramel macchiato. "And, hello to you too, Dan" PJ gave a smile across the table, which Dan returned. As Chris and PJ talked quietly, Dan sat and drank his beverage quietly. It was always like that; Those two giggling to themselves as they drank their coffees, and Dan just sitting by himself. He didn't really mind it, despite how much he made out he did.
As the bell above the door tinkled again and a tall, broad man walked inside, Dans cheeks turned a light shade of pink, watching as he went up to the counter.
Of all the times Phil could show up, it had to be now.
Dan sank down in his seat, trying to make himself as small as possible as Chris and PJ sent him concerned looks.
"Dan? You okay? What in the world are you doing?" Chris asked in confusion, his cheeks only going darker as Phil spotted him and began to walk over.
The man looked a little worried as he walked over to Dan, nervous even, and Dan definitely picked up on it. Oh god, am I failing? No, no, probably not, but what does he want? Shh, calm down, just let him talk
"Dan?" Phil asked softly, Chris and PJ looking up at him in even more confusion.
"What's going on?" PJ whispered to Chris, the boy shrugging gently before whispering a 'Dans lil' boy crush' back to PJ.
Dan gulped lightly, looking up at Phil "Yes?" He hoped he didn't do anything bad. What if Phil had to kill him because he told him about who he was?! No, don't be silly. That's ridiculous. Right?
"Can I talk to you for a minute? It's really kind of important..." He pulled his lips into a tight line as Dan nodded, looking at Chris and PJ for a moment before sliding out of his seat and following Phil over to a more secluded place in the shop
"Alright, so, I know you've been taking in a lot of things lately," Phil started, looking down at Dan as he spoke quietly. "But, you have some more things to learn as well. The first being, you are my One. A god -or in this case human- that was picked by Aphrodite to be mine solely. Someone who is my other half and someone I'm supposed to be with for the rest of my life." Phil told Dan softly, the smaller boy going wide eyed.
He was... He was Phil's? Phil was his soulmate... Basically... Oh god, Dan felt like he was going to faint. The room was spinning. He was lightheaded.
And, promptly, Dan fainted, falling into Phils arms.
"Well," Phil stated softly "That went better than I expected"
IM SORRY.
