Chapter 7

(Mephiles' POV)

I can't believe Sonic just walked in on my sister. I bet he got a good view before she knocked him out. The stupid mortal, I know Shadow won't kill him but still. Her rage will break one day. Thankfully, we can't die from normal things.

"So, are you staying or not?" Sonic sighed, sitting up.

"If it's okay."

"Well.. it's your only choice. Our driver has gone home. And you can't really leave." Sonic seemed kinda shocked. I could only chuckle at him, helping him up.

"So.. I'm stuck here?.." Sonic tilted his head to the side.

"Yep. You can use one of our spare guest room." He sighed, before following me back to the living room.

"So what do you guys do for fun 'round 'ere?" Sonic said as he plopped down on the couch. While fixing my mask, I tried to think of something that teenagers do in this time period. They do things so much different now.. "How come you wear that?"

"Oh.. um.." I wasn't expecting him to ask me that.... I can't give our secret up just yet. "I just have a bad... condition... and I rather not show it to anyone.." I really hope he believes that. I really don't want to use my powers anymore today.. I'm not feeling that good..

"Hey... Are you alright? You look pale... more than you really are." He looked concerned as held my hand up. 

"Y-Yeah.. I'm fine. Just a little under the weather.." I sighed, I was starving myself, not having anytime to go get something.. "I should be fine in the morning. Would you like to have a look around?" Sonic shrugged and stood up.

"You sure you can take me around? I could wait for Shadz.." Sighing, I should just let Shadow do it.. My instincts might take over if he's around me too long...

"I.. Go find Shadow.. I'll go lay down." Sonic nodded leaving me alone. I sighed, slowly getting up. I desperately needed to eat..

(Shadow's POV)

Sonic scared the shit out of me when he knocked on my door. I almost dropped the picture I was holding.

"What do you want Sonic?.." Sighing, as I set the picture frame down.

"I thought you could show me around the place. Mephiles wasn't feeling that well." Sonic leaned against the door frame.

"He's not feeling well?" I scoffed. "Of course he isn't" He really needs to stop, or he's gonna get himself hurt.. "So a tour around the house? C'mon."

After showing him were the necessary places for him, with the last place as the guest bedroom. 

"Well, here's your going to sleep. If you need anything, I'm a few rooms down." Sonic laid down on the bed, putting his hands behind his head. "Do you need anything else?.."

"Is it okay if I make something to eat?" I smiled a tad, nodding. 

"Sure. Do you want me to help, or are you a big boy and can do it on your own?" Sonic only laughed, smiling like a dork at me. I couldn't but blush at him, turning away. "Alright, well. I'm going to check on Meph.. Holler for me if ya need anything.." He said okay, as I walked away. God dammit Meph... I know he's behind all of his..

(Sonic's POV)

It's kinda creepy walking around this house alone.. It's like Shadow and Mephiles left the house completely. The whole house was quiet, I was so on edged. It felt like a horror movie, how did these two live here. They were just as mysterious a this house..
