Uneasy Feeling

Chapter 14

(Normal POV)

Sonic slept a lot of the days since his awakening. His body was still trying to get used to this new form of him. Only days ago he was dead, now he was walking around. Sonic also hasn't tasted blood yet, as he hasn't been able to stay awake long enough.

"So... when do you think I can see my friends?" Sonic asked, finally awake. Shadow sighed, playing with his hair.

"Once you can get control of your thirst... And you can't just pop in. You've been missing in the forest for over a week." She said as Sonic started to look worried.

"W-We should get started then." Sonic quickly sat up, before clutching his stomach. He looks like he healed, but on the inside he wasn't fully. The venom was still inside of him, and still converting everything. The only reason he's been sleeping, is because he was still in transformation phase. Since he was very injury, it took all of the power to just bring him back. He was finally able to move his upper half, since his spine was crushed. 

"Whoa. Sonic calm down." She caught him before he could fall off. "You don't even have feeling in your legs yet, just relax for a little more... Please." Sonic pushed away from her, trying to move his legs. Shadow sighed, wanting him to slow down. Before she could speak, Sonic stood up, holding his stomach. Sonic laughed at Shadow's surprised face.

"Like I said... We should get started." Sonic limped to the doorway, as Shadow still shocked.

Shadow was still confused on Sonic's recovery. She thought he only was going to transform into an omega, but the way he was recovering, he seemed like an alpha.

Once Mephiles got home, he was shocked to see Sonic walking around. Shadow was giving Sonic small amounts of animal blood, to test if he'll get sick from it or not.

"How?" Mephiles stared at him, confused. Sonic just chuckled.

"Guess I heal a lot faster then normal" He still sounded weaken, yet he looked fine. This was concerning the twins, yet they were keeping it to themselves.

"Well, at least you're up. I still think you should be resting." Mephiles sighed, slipping off his mask.

"Who said I couldn't do both." Sonic said as he sipped from his glass. He looked slightly annoyed at the twins constant bugging. If Sonic was Shadow's mate, and she seemed to know every about him, then she should know he doesn't like to stay in one place for a long time.

"We just worried for you. We do not know how much stress is being put on your body from changing. Some transformations take longer than others." Shadow tried to continue on from Mephiles' point. Yet Sonic was refusing to listen to them.

"I feel fine. Honestly. Drinking this made me feel a lot better." Sonic groaned, drinking the last of the animal blood. He was starving since he first woke up, but couldn't eat or drink anything. Now, finally able to drink something, he felt so much better since. Sonic licked his new fangs and mouth clean. The twins couldn't tell if he was lying or not, but decided to go with it.

Sonic soon after fell asleep, on the couch, where they could look after him better. Shadow watched him as Mephiles was talking with Rouge.

"There's not much game around here anymore. The mayor put up strict laws about hunting season, which basically took most of our meals. I'm not sure if what we'll do. I'll have to send people out of the city to get food." Rouge sighed, talking to the higher ranks. "We know other vampires here are struggling in food too. If game gets too low, we might have another incident happened..." She sighed, looking over at Sonic.
