The Crash

Chapter 16 part 1

(Silver's POV)

I am still pissed that these guys didn't tell me this entire time. This ENTIRE time my best friend kept this from me.

But... There was still something off. Something they were keeping from me. Something about Sonic disappearing and then showing up at of the blue. It seems fishy to me. (Calls Bullshit. Honestly meeeee)

" How did you really get lost? There's no way you would have wondered from the house." I pressed, crossing my arms. Maybe if I pressure them, they'll break.

"Silver, We've been over this. I honestly don't remember much." Sonic seemed annoyed with me now. Mephiles tried to reach over and squeezed my leg, but I refused to let him touch me.

"Switch seats with me.. I wanna sit in the back." Mephiles looked hurt slightly, as I turned away from him. "I said pull over."

Sighing, Mephiles did what he was told, and waited for us to get out. Sonic tried to say something as I got into the back, I shut the door in his face. Slowly, he got into the front as Mephiles started to drive off.

"Silver.. Look, I'm sorry for getting mad, but I don't know what happened. One second I'm taking a light walk in the woods, then the next second I'm lost." Sonic turned around in the seat, to look at me. His eyes were pleading me to forgive him. I saw Mephiles turn his head away from the road, looking at Sonic.

"Fine..." I sighed, looking back on the road, seeing a high speed car coming right at us. "Mephiles!"

It was too late, as Mephiles tried to swerve the wheel, the car hit us directly. My head hit against the window as I felt the car tip over, my mind was fuzzy and gone black.

(Normal POV(for now))

The car the three were in, tipped over and rolled into the ditch, glass flew everywhere. Mephiles was crushed in the seat, barely able to move his legs, as his body laid against the wheel, limp. Sonic was able to move but couldn't get out. Silver was mostly okay, as she only got minor cuts from glass and a small head blow.

Apparently, they hit two cars, as they were the third. The first car hit them directly on Mephiles side, as they were forced the other way. Then the second car, tried to swerve out of the way, but hit Sonic's side instead. The car was flung into the side ditch, rolling and trapping them.

Sonic was the first to wake up, his mind fuzzy. He tried to move, only to feel a sharp pain in his gut. Looking down, Sonic saw darken blood dripping down a very large piece of glass impaled into his stomach. Slowly, the pain worsen and spread across his body as he realized.

Sonic let out a blood curdling scream, as he moved. He wanted anyone to know they were there. Sonic panicked and look back at Silver, seeing she was okay. Mephiles, on the other hand, had several cuts from glass, including small pieces still in him. He had a head gash, from glass and bashing his head against the wheel. Sonic noticed something poking out of Mephiles back, as he slumped over the wheel. He realized that it was a large shard of glass was poking through the area where his heart was.

Sonic let out another cry, as he didn't know if Mephiles was actually dead or not. Sonic, despite the pain, reached over and shook Mephiles as hard as he could. There had to be a sign he was ok, there had to be. Sonic felt relief as he saw Mephiles flicker his eyes open, before cringing in pain. Sirens were heard from a distance as he saw people rushing down the ditch. Mephiles didn't move, as he eyes dazed over. His eyes were slits as he stared at nothing-ness.

People surrounded the car, each going to a side. Sonic panted, as he looked at everyone around the car. Sonic heard the sirens get closer, as somebody reached in and took ahold of his hand as they saw the state he was in.

"Sir, come on.. Look at me." A young male said, trying to get Sonic to focus on him. "What's your name?"

"S-S-Sonic...." Sonic hissed, talking made the pain ten times worse.
"Sonic, you're going to be okay. Just try to focus on me" Sonic tried to look back at the others, trying to see if Silver was okay.

"S... Silver... I-Is she okay..?" Sonic saw that other people were trying desperately get Mephiles to respond. Only one or two was on Silver, seeing she wasn't as hurt.

"Sonic-"

"Get. Her." Sonic squeezed the guys hand, growling lightly. "P-Please..." Sonic said lightly, pleading.

The guy sighed, as he saw paramedics and firemen rush down the hill. Slowly, the man let out of Sonic's hand, before rushing over. Sonic barely heard anything, as his vision was blurred. Before he knew it, Sonic heard and felt the car door being opened. Sonic heard they pull Silver out, filling him with relief. Only to hear a blood curdling scream next to him. Mephiles screamed out in pain, shaking as he stared at the glass in his body. Sonic tried to reach over to him, but found he couldn't move. His body refused to move as the world around him darken.

(Silver's POV)

I started to panic when I heard that scream. I couldn't move as I was strapped onto something, staring at the clouds. Panicked talking and whimpering was heard as I was moved somewhere.

"Ma'am, what's your name?" Some said, noticing I woke up. The watched my expression as they stopped and set me down.

"S-Silver. W-What's going on?" I tried to move or break out of the restraints.

"Do you remember what happened to you?" The sudden flash of a car racing towards us, as she said that.

"I-I was in a car crash..." Then I remember that scream. "Oh god. Are they okay?!" I couldn't pick my head up to see anything.

"No... If I'm going to be honest with you. The one in the passenger seat is not as bad as the one in the driver side... You are the lucky one. You sustained the least amount of injuries."

"N-No..." I wanted to cry out and rush to Mephiles.

"Don't worry... They're in good hands now."

"W-We need to call his sister!" I caught the paramedic off guard, staring at me.

"Which one? And does the other have any family we can contact?" I tried my best to nod. They noticed I was mostly okay for now, and unrestrained me. I reached down, getting my phone out of my back pocket. I little surprised to only see a small crack in the screen.

"Mephiles, the one in the driver seat, his sister is named Shadow. The other one, Sonic, has a brother named Tails." I handed her my phone once I got to my contact list. She handed it to a police officer, and told him the exact thing I said.

"Do you have any family that we can contact for you?" The other paramedic asked, as he cleaned out the cuts.

"My parents are out of state.." The paramedics didn't say anymore, as not to bother me.

Next thing I know, three more paramedics carrying someone on a board up the hill. He wasn't moving or making a sound, but I still couldn't see who it was. All I saw was blue hair and glass, before they blocked my view.
