18 | "Let Her Be Happy."

AT THE NIGHT OF THE LIVE SHOW

"Jade, remember that no matter what happens-"

"I know. Don't worry. I'll be fine.", Jade said convincingly to Perrie. Perrie gave Jade a warm smile before she pulled her in for a tight hug.

They were behind the stage right now and in about five minutes the show would start. Perrie and Jade were terrified. The whole week has been a mess. Perrie tried to ignore the paparazzi as good as she could, but of course they wouldn't just give up like that. They wanted information and Perrie was the only one who could give them that information. Zayn didn't call or text Perrie or Jade all week. He was pretty much done with both of them. It hurt Jade, it really did. But she knew the consequences and she was okay with it after all. Leigh has been very supportive of both Jade and Perrie recently and Jesy came back too. Jesy decided to stay because her friends really needed her right now. Jade was more nervous than ever before. This week was tough. A lot of rumours have been flying around and Jade knew people who watched the show didn't like it when someone had 'scandal' written all over their head. This week the theme was 'Remix's' and Jade and Perrie did everything for Jade so she'd pull off a great performance. She'd be singing a remix of the song 'We don't talk anymore' by Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez.

Jade gave Perrie a quick kiss before the show started. Everyone in the competition knew about them and they all promised to not make it public, so everything was fine. "You got this.", was the thing Perrie whispered to Jade before she head out to her seat. Jade took a deep breath.

While Jade and the other contestants were getting ready, the moderator was talking to Simon, Leigh and Perrie about anything. But when he started talking about a certain subject, Perrie felt kind of uncomfortable. "And Perrie.. I know a lot has been going on this past week with all these rumours, - but I was wondering if you'd like to say anything. How are you? Do you want to give any statements?"

Perrie gave Leigh a helpless look, before clearing her throat and taking a deep breath. "You know.." Perrie faked a smile, "Tonight is all about our contestants. All of them worked their butt off for tonight's show and the only thing I'm gonna say is: How are you supposed to feel after such a terrible week? I mean.. - Forget it, tonight is not about me. It's about the talented people we have here and I can't wait to see what they've been preparing for this week." The crowd cheered at Perrie's professionalism. Leigh winked at her and smiled proud. Thankfully, the moderator left it at that, - since it was pretty obvious Perrie didn't want to talk about it.

The moderator continued with the show and The Bride was the first act to perform. They sang a remix of Zayn's 'Pillowtalk'. Perrie tried to get that horrible feeling out of her throat, but it didn't really worked. That didn't mean she didn't recognized how good they were singing, because she did and she complimented them after, too. 

After that, Andrea was up next. She sang a remix of Drake's 'Hotline Bling'. She did dance really good, but her vocals weren't that good, - which Perrie also reminded her later on. Perrie's exact words were actually, "There are only five candidates left and for a Top 5 show, it wasn't enough and it's making me sad, because you're really talented and you know that I love you, Andrea. You were so good in rehearsals. Please, please give everything in your second performance, I don't want to say goodbye to you, yet." Andrea nodded and of course, she understood what Perrie meant. She was disappointed herself. Andrea knew she could do better.

Simon's guys were perfect as always. There were only two of them left, but they were strong as hell. Jade was about to go next and she was terrified. Her little 'video clip' started while she got ready to perform. Perrie watched Jade's clip and she was surprised to see that Jade was talking about the rumours, too. Jade didn't tell her about that. "I think.. Look.. Perrie and I are best friends. We are really close and ever since I started here, she's been kinda my rock. I can always count on her and she's an amazing mentor. I was shocked when I read this, to be honest. Everyone knows I like girls and there's nothing and no one who can change that, but to put that kind of rumours out there isn't good at all. Especially not for Perrie, - or let's say Little Mix. She's been working so hard on the new album while taking care of me and Andrea. She deserves happiness and I hate the fact that after everything she's been through, the press still tries to make her look bad for just being happy. She has great friends, she has a lot of fun. Perrie is happy, - So why not letting her be happy? Rumours are Rumours." A huge smile appeared on Perrie's face. She couldn't believe that Jade did that for her. That's why she loved her. Jade always surprised her in a good, loving way with things like these were she just protects her. And she was really thankful for that. Thankful, to have Jade by her side. Thankful, for how Jade made her feel and thankful for this experience that changed her whole life. The best thing about this was, Jade didn't lie. She never said 'There's nothing going on between me and Perrie' she just simple said 'Let her be happy' and that's what made Perrie so happy.

When Jade came on stage, the first thing she did was looking at Perrie. Perrie mouthed a, "Thank you", before Jade headed to her position. Then she started to do her performance.

Jade had to dance a lot, but she loved doing it, so it was no problem for her. She tried to give everything in case this performance, - and her second one - would be her last ones.

TWO HOURS LATER

"Now, let's go to the final results.", the moderator said. Andrea and Jade were holding hands and Jade and Perrie were holding hands. Perrie squeezed Jade's hand softly. The Bride, Andrea and Jade were the only ones left and two of them will definitely get into the next round, but there's one person who'd need to go home tonight. Jade had a feeling it was her. Her performances went great, - perfect as always - but there was a feeling she couldn't get rid of. Jade felt like she'd be the one to go this week. 

And when the moderator shouted 'The Bride's' name, panic started to spread in Jade's throat. It's either Andrea or her. Perrie would have a chance to win the competition still, - And Jade was glad she did. But it was her dream and the fact that now it could be over made her shiver in her whole body. You could see how shocked and terrified Perrie was.

"Now.. It's either Andrea or Jade. No matter who gets into the next round, Team Edwards still has the chance to win this competition." An innocent smile spread on Perrie's face. On the inside, Perrie really hoped it'd be Jade, but she had to stay impartial.

And when the moderator shouted Andrea's name, everyone gasped and was in shock. Nobody saw this coming. Everyone thought Jade would be the one. But her dream was over, just like that. Perrie hugged Jade right away, - Jade was already crying. Perrie tried not to cry. She had to be the strong one now, but she was really sad. She wouldn't be able to see Jade everyday now and this broke her heart. But to see and hear Jade cry broke her heart even more.

This is how fast a dream can end.

I'm sorry that this chapter is so bad and that barely anything happened :( I kinda just wrote what was on my mind since I already got things planned for Chapter 19 and 20. I still hope you like this chapter and I promise you, Chapter 19+20 will have y'all shock. At least, Chapter 20, since I already have the ending planned out :)
