17 | "Because I love you."

"I have to tell her that.", Jade added. Leigh had a huge smile on her face.

"I'm really glad she found you, Jade.", Leigh said honestly. After so many years of tears and broken hearts, Perrie finally found the one and Leigh, as her best friend, of course was very happy about it. "You know. I haven't seen Perrie that happy for a long time, - and you're the reason why she's the old Perrie. I just wanted to thank you and I know that there's nothing I could do to make it up to you, but if there's anything I could do, tell me."

A happy smile appeared on Jade's face. "Thank you, Leigh-Anne. That means a lot. You don't have to do anything, I'm glad I'm the reason she's happy again. And I'm not planning on changing that. And actually, there's one thing you could do-" Jade took out her notebook. "Let's make this one my first single." Jade showed Leigh her song that was called 'sHe'. A smile appeared on Leigh's face.

She nodded and took her keys. "The studio is free today, what do you think?"

Jade's mouth fell open, but right after that a happy smile appeared on her face. "Can Perrie join us?" Leigh nodded immedietaly. Jade took out her phone and dialed Perrie's number, but no one answered. "She ain't answering."

"Let's drive to her apartment and see if she's there.", Leigh suggested and Jade nodded before grabbing her things and heading out to Leigh's car. Thank god, Leigh parked behind the studio where no paparazzi could see them. They got into the car and drove straight to Perrie's apartment. Leigh parked in front of it and Jade got out of the car after she assured Leigh that she didn't need to come inside and that she should wait a few minutes. 

Jade knocked on the front door, but no one opened it. She knocked again, but no one opened it. That's when she figured something weird was going on, which is why she took Perrie's replacement key from it's 'secret hiding place' and opened the door. She stepped inside the apartment and when she spotted the glass shards, her heart started to beat faster and panic was written all over her face. "Perrie?!", Jade shouted and ran into the living room. You could see how relieved Jade was when she spotted Perrie sleeping on the couch like the sleeping beauty she is. But Jade was still very concerned about the glass shards which she could see all over the floor. And when she found that picture of Zayn and Perrie, everything became clear and she instantly felt sorry for Perrie. Jade slowly layed down next to Perrie and stroke her arm softly. Perrie shrugged for a second and that's when Jade knew she was awake. Perrie didn't want to open her eyes. She knew it was Jade and she didn't want to seem weak in front of her. Jade wrapped her arms around Perrie and held her tight. 

"You should've called me.", Jade whispered and placed a soft kiss on Perrie's arm.

Perrie took a deep breath before putting her hand on Jade's hand which was around her waist. "I know, but.."

"I know.", Jade answered softly. "It's going to be okay."

"How can you say that? I hurt him and.. I'm all over the news, - we are all over the news. I didn't mean to drag you into this. It's all my fault.", Perrie sobbed and Jade pulled her closer to her.

"Listen to me: It's not your fault, Pez. It's not your fault..", Jade whispered.

"Don't try to make me feel better.. It is my fault..", Perrie whispered sadly.

Jade shook her head slightly, "It's not."

"How can you mean that? How can you after all of this still believe in me and tell me it's not my fault even though everything that has happened in the last few months is my fault..", Perrie sobbed.

"Because I love you.", Jade finally said, which made Perrie freeze for a second, but only because she was surprised to hear that. Perrie turned around to Jade with a smile, but before she could say anything, she could hear a honk from the outside. Perrie gave Jade a questioning look.
