Wardy’s POV

“Who’s driving? Me or you?” I asked Stef as we headed out the front, saying goodbye to the boys as we left them at the house.

“If I crashed your car, would you kill me?” Stef answered.

I shrugged. “Ok, I’m driving then.” And I got in the driver’s side.

We pulled up at the apartment complex twenty minutes later, right when a taxi did. Well, what were the chances that it would be Cass? Actually the chances were pretty high.

We saw her before she saw us, her outfit was something to consider. Well, she worked for Vogue, so she earned enough money. She looked rather classy in her black ruffle neck blouse, black jeans giving the outfit an edged look and black and white wedges.

“Cassandra?” Stef asked. Cassie turned, saw us both and grinned. She waddled (yes waddled) towards us, seeing as she couldn’t run and then hugged us both.

“How have you two been? Congratulations.” She addressed us both, then looked at me and began going on about how long the flight was and that it had been delayed and that Josh was on the same flight, even though this had all been repeated to me from Stef.

“Are we going in?” Stef asked, gesturing to the building. We followed her up to the elevator then sort of just stood there quietly. Three years ago we would have taken two dozen selfies just to get to the third floor.

“Sarah!” Cass yelled once we got to her floor. Josh came to the door and let us in, to which Wardy hugged him and he congratulated her and once we were inside, he left.

“Stef. Cass.” Sarah made her way into the living room and hugged the two of them.

“I’m really feeling the love here.” I exclaimed.

“Sarah.” Sarah said. “Sorry, you’ll have to excuse me, I need to go and change.”

“Why? You look fabulous.” Stef said.

“No no. Just make yourselves at home. I’ll be but a minute.” She rushed off to her room and promptly changed into a peach pink halter dress and flats.

Meanwhile, we’d all seated ourselves on the couch in the living room.

“Are you going back to England after the engagement?” Stef asked Cassie.

Cass shrugged. “Well, when Sarah called the other day, she asked me the same question, and I could either cancel my flight there and back and just fly home after your wedding, but I might lose my job,” Stef immediately straightened up and looked over at me. “And... wait. What happened?” She looked form Stef to me and back. “What happened?”

“Uh, I lost my job the other day. No big deal really.” I shrugged.

Cass was lost for words at this. “It is a big deal. I’m sorry, I didn’t know.” She apologised.

“It’s alright. I’ll have a job and another degree by the end of the year. I’m studying to be a psychologist so that I can be a counsellor at a school.” I explained.

“Ok, I’m ready.” Sarah exclaimed, we all turned to see her make her big entry, which she did quite well. She had one heel on and she was putting the other on as she hopped out of her room and fell flat on her face. Stef started slow clapping her while Cass and I just laughed. “Thanks.” Sarah mumbled.

“You’ll always be the klutz.” Stef stated. “And the brains.”

“Hello? I’m the one getting the degree here.” Sarah exclaimed, pointing at me.
