Chapter 13.
Wardy’s POV
“Princess, time to wake up. Princess, wakey-wakey. Princess, wake up. Sarah, get up!” Niall shook my shoulder, and I rolled over quickly wiping the side of my mouth from the drool that had dribbled down the side of my cheek.
“No, I don’t have to get up on time for the next seven months until the wedding, and possibly not even then, brides are traditionally late, plus, I need my beauty sleep.” I explained almost incoherently.
“But you’re already gorgeous, but you have to get up this morning, seriously.” He continued to shake me shoulder.
“Aww, and why?”
“We have to drop off Louis at the airport, and not saying that you have to, but it would be nice if you see him off.” Niall explained, persuading me to get up and look presentable.
“Fine, I’ll be up in a minute.” I mumbled into my pillow.
“And that was a lie: you’ve got to be up for university because I’m pretty sure you want that job.” He added before leaving the room before I could think of a come back.
I groaned and rolled out of bed onto the floor; Wednesday. Wednesday the twenty seventh. Louis was going home today and I had to get up to farewell him. “You’re doing out of politeness and you will not complain about not having enough sleep.” I told myself heading to the ensuite to shower, do my hair, brush my teeth, etc. etc. etc.
“What time are we leaving?” I mumbled, coming down stairs to see the picture perfect Wednesday morning scene. Stef casually reading the paper; Niall buttering toast for everyone; and Louis making three cups of tea and a hot chocolate.
“Just after breakfast.” Louis answered, handing me the hot chocolate, then proceeding to give everyone else tea. I nodded and sat down at the table next to Stef.
“So, what’s new in the world of black and white?” I asked, motioning to the colourless paper.
“Well, you and your wedding video didn’t make front page news, you made forty sixth page news, you’re in the celebrity section, and the reporter claims, in her article, that it was all a lie, that you filmed it yourself as a publicity stunt.” She explained.
I sighed, just over it all. “Don’t they get that we just want to live a normal life away from the public eye? And for crying out loud, we’re in the video, how could we have filmed it?”
Stef shrugged and sighed, sipping her tea.
“Is Cass still going home and coming back for the wedding?” Niall asked from the kitchen.
“Yeah, I think she is.” Stef replied.
“When?”
“Umm, I think it’s Friday.”
Stef’s POV
Niall drove us to the airport. It wasn’t silent, well, not awkwardly silent. The occasional chit-chat was it though.
“You promise you’ll be back in time?” I asked as we walked in the doors of the airport.
“I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” He replied, holding our interlocked hands up to his face kissing my hand. “See you angel.” Louis pulled me into a hug, kissing my forehead, nose and finally my lips.
“Have a good flight.” I called as he made his way down the terminal.
“I miss you already.” He called back, waving.
“I love you.” I yelled.
“I love you most.” He replied, as he disappeared from my view.
As I turned to leave, Niall and Sarah were standing there, Sarah looking smug, Niall: thoughtful. “Now what was it that you said to Niall and I the other day? “Aww, you two are so cute”.” Sarah stated. This made me blush.
“Sorry...” I trailed off not knowing what to say.
“It’s ok. You’re getting married in three weeks, you have every right to tell him you love him.” She explained.
