Sarah’s POV

I’d just worked three whole days in a row. As a substitute teacher that is a rarity to the point that I want to call in sick and say that I need someone to cover for me. But now it’s Saturday morning and somebody else is cooking breakfast and somebody else has looked after the house all week and for that I’m grateful. But either way, I still live here, and somebody has to do the shopping still. And when I say somebody(in all of the above situations), I mean Cassie and/or Zayn. I say and/or because I’m pretty sure that today all the boys - minus Louis of course - were getting together for lunch at some well-to-do restaurant and the girls weren’t invited.

My eyes scanned over the calendar hanging on the wall as I left my room. “Has it really only been a week since the wedding?” I asked as I took a seat at the bench.

“Yeah. Hard to believe right?” Cass smiled and finished with the toaster.

“You gonna give me any of that?” I asked looking at the two slices of toast she had on her plate.

“Why would I do that?” She lifted one of the pieces and took a bite out of it, teasing me.

“Because you’re in my apartment, using my water and electricity while I pay the bills. I dunno, maybe you’re just feeling like making your best friend breakfast on a Saturday morning after she’s worked three days consecutively at a school full of students who’d be better off going back to kinder to learn their abc’s again.” I joked, pulling out the pity card, trying to make Cass feel bad for me.

“Aww,” For a moment there I thought she was going to be nice and then: “Sucks to be you.” Taking another bite from the toast.

I rolled my eyes and made my own breakfast. “Seeing as you’re not going to make me breakfast, would be so kind as to do the grocery shopping? It’s the least you could do while you’re here.”

“Why would I want to go around choosing which vegetable is the greenest?” She put it in context and sat down on the couch turning on the t.v.

I shrugged and sat in one of the armchairs, while waiting for my toast to cook. “Because-” I was rather rudely interrupted by a loud and repeated knock on the door. Cass and I exchanged looks before I cautiously walked to the door and by then the knocking had ceased. I was hesitant to open it, but seeing as the knocking had stopped, I was a little startled to hear it starting again even though it was half open by now.

“Ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod.” A rather stressed-out looking, blond haired, blue eyed girl practically fell into the room. Wardy looked up at me and with an anxious look in her eyes burst out. “I need to pee.”

Of course Cass and I couldn’t help but laugh but we let her in either way, because I couldn’t just let her stand out in the foyer and piss herself... well I could have, but she’d never forgive me for it.

So after she’d gone to the toilet which she’d been grateful to me for letting her use it, she had some serious explaining to do. “Well, I was planning on going shopping and half way there I decided that maybe you two wanted to go with me, along with that I didn’t want to go alone. And then somewhere between here and there, I really needed to pee so here I am, not needing to pee anymore, but still lacking company for my shopping spree.” She finished her rant out of breath.

“So you wanted us to sign up for your shopping expedition and then you needed to pee?” I clarified.

“In so many words: yes.” She shrugged.

“Cass’ll go with you. She needs to do the grocery shopping and I’m sure she’d be more than happy to try on a few endless pairs of shoes along the way.” I gestured in Cassie’s general direction and she scowled at me. “Besides, I have to clean the place up a bit. And I’m going out for lunch. So I’m otherwise busy all day.”
