Chapter 15.

Stef’s POV

“Hey angel. I’ve missed you.” He whispered in my ear, scaring me out of my skin.

“Missed you more.” I replied, standing to face him and throwing my hands around his neck pulling him into a hug. He already had his bags and everything. “That was quick.” I commented.

Louis shrugged. “You didn’t come with your entourage?” He joked, gesturing to me that I was by myself.

“Sarah let me borrow her car.” I shrugged, taking his suitcase and began walking towards the exit. “I brought breakfast; actually, Sarah got that for me too.” I added. Louis rolled his eyes and took the paper bag from my hand.

“Chocolate and juice?” He took out the juice and took a sip.

“There were muffins too, but I was hungry.” I blushed.

“That’s ok, I ate on the plane.” Louis assured, awkwardly side-hugging me, with one arm.

The rest of the way to the car was silent, but that’s why we’re getting married; because we’re happy to be in each other’s silent company. His hand found mine and with our fingers interlocked, he softly squeezed my hand.

Cassie’s POV

Ok, maybe I shouldn’t have come back here, seeing as they’d put me on vacation for the two weeks I was back here anyway, so that was completely pointless. I had two weeks to myself in my own house, alone. At first, it was peaceful and rather tranquil, but somehow it always seemed to be that way. So I went out a few times, came home drunk (I didn’t drive myself) and it wasn’t until the Saturday before I had to go back did I realise that I didn’t have a bridesmaid’s dress yet.

“What kind of dress do you wear to a wedding?” I asked the shop clerk in one big rush as I pushed past a couple holding matching jumpers.

The clerk looked at me sourly, but showed me the bridal section anyway. “Ok, this can’t be too hard, can it?” I asked myself, scanning shelves after shelves of dresses.

Many tried and failed attempts later, I strolled out of the shop with no dress, but rather: a wedding present. I picked up a hot chocolate on my way home, generously tipping the waiter five pounds.

“I’ve missed you so much.” Sarah threw her arms around my neck.

“It’s been two weeks, you can’t have missed me that much.” I exclaimed, but I missed her too.

“I’ve never been anywhere without you, well, not out of the country without you.” She put into perspective. I shrugged agreeing, while she took my suitcase and I followed her to her car. “Stef and Louis left yesterday. Did you get your bridesmaid dress?” She asked.

I froze and she looked me up and down. “It’s getting late. We’re going shopping tomorrow. You’re staying at Wardy’s, I’ll pick you up around midday ok? Niall, Wardy and Zayn are leaving for Mallacoota tomorrow, we’ll go on Wednesday.” Sarah explained.

“Wait, so what day is it?” I asked as I helped her with my suitcase.

“Today is Monday. And then after Monday comes Tuesday. And after Tuesday is Wed-”

“I’m not a baby, Sarah. I know the days of the week thank you very much.” I huffed, getting into the car.

She rolled her eyes. “So we’re going on Wednesday.” She explained.

“With Josh?” I asked, just clarifying.

Sarah made a sour face and was silent a moment. “Yes. He is.” She said bluntly. I stared at her, that usually made her crack. “Stop looking at me like that.”
