Wardy’s POV

I stood in the kitchen flipping pancakes and wearing one of Niall’s baggy shirts as a nightie. Niall lazily stumbled down the stairs in plaid pyjamas. “Morning beautiful.” He said with a grin, his voice still thick and raspy with sleep.

I smiled to myself as he slid his arms around my waist and kissed my neck, hugging me from behind as I giggled at the tickle of his touch. He let go and leant back, resting on the kitchen bench. He stole a couple of kisses and made a few lame jokes to make me laugh. All the while, I poured more batter into the frying pan, doing my best to avoid spilling it on my new engagement ring.

“I can’t believe we’re going to spend the rest of our lives together... I love you.” Niall murmured happily as he ran his fingers through my hair.

I turned and faced him. “I love you more.” I replied.

He shook his head. “That’s impossible. I’ll always love you more.” He slowly leant in to kiss me. And then my phone rang.

I pulled a face. “Excuse me a minute.”

“Hey hey beautiful.” Sarah greeted me.

“Hey. What’s up? Why’d you call so early?” I asked.

“Because I knew that you’d be up and I was calling to ask to invite you out for a girls day on the twenty third.” She explained.

“Uh-huh. Let me just check my calendar.” I replied, setting down the phone, rushing across the kitchen, flipping through the diary, seeing it was a Friday night. As I made my way back to the phone, Niall pulled me into a hug. “Sh. Sarah’s on the phone. Oh, by the way I’m going out Friday night.”

“Why Friday? Why not Thursday? Isn’t Friday the night before the engagement.” Niall asked.

I nodded. “Now let me go, I have to talk to Sarah.” He let me go and I picked up the phone again. “Yes, Sarah. Friday night sounds good. Where are we meeting?”

“My place. Meet us there at seven; we’ll hit the town about eight and I was thinking we might go roller skating or something like that.” She suggested.

“How old are you?” I teased, rolling my eyes.

“Are you in or not?” Sarah asked.

“Yes, I’m in. See you then.”

“Love you to Pluto and back.” Sarah replied and hung up. She was always the one to hang up, usually not saying good-bye as such, almost always just ending with a quick phrase that I never have time to answer.

I put the phone down and wrote down the “event” in our diary. “Hey, you’re burning the pancakes.” I exclaimed rushing over and taking the frypan off the stove. Niall shrugged. “For someone who loves to eat, you don’t cook as much as I thought you would.”

“I could say the same about you.” He replied, smirking.

I rolled my eyes. I was getting engaged. Well, technically I was already engaged, but now we were just celebrating it and making look all official.

Stef’s POV

“Louis, where are you? You’re going to miss the flight!” I yelled into my phone as I raced through the terminal, only to realise that he was sitting there waiting for me in his seat on the plane.

“Me, missing the flight? Speak for yourself.” He joked as I slumped down next to him.

“Sorry. I couldn’t find my passport and you weren’t answering your phone I thought you were going to miss the flight and then you’d miss Wardy and Niall’s engagement party.” I sighed and rested my head on his shoulder. “Are you still going home afterwards?” I asked.

He nodded.

“Just promise me you won’t be late.” I almost begged.

“Hey, I wasn’t the one who almost missed the flight. You’re the one who should be worried about being late for your own wedding.” He told me.

“Hey, brides are allowed to be fashionably late.” I reminded.

“Well, with the team of friends you have, I doubt that’ll happen.” Louis sympathised.
