Chapter 21.
*Filler chapter*
Wardy’s POV
“Where are my shoes?” I asked, looking through my overpacked suitcase for the shoes I’d sworn I’d never have a good enough reason to wear, then this occasion comes along and all of a sudden they match perfectly, but I can’t find them. Taking everything out, one item of clothing at a time, they were right at the bottom, then it dawned on me that I packed them first so that I wouldn’t forget them.
Emma and Izzy needed their hair done, not so much a problem as they only wanted it straightened. Stef’s make up was much more of a rush than I intended it to be, but it looked amazing all the same.
Walking up the aisle, all the groomsmen looking at us as we walked, my eyes set on Niall though, him smiling back at me. I could only imagine what my wedding day would look like. I knew that I didn’t really want an outdoorsy wedding, most likely in a church, like most conventional weddings were held, but I my wedding aside: this was breathtaking.
And Stef walking up the aisle all pretty and gorgeous as all brides are, and her and Louis holding hands, then us all realising that Harry wasn’t there, arriving a short time later: out of breath and holding the rings that we’d also noticed were missing. But the vows were definitely the highlight, which of course made me think about my vows that I’d be delivering just shy of six months.
Cassie’s POV
“I’m happy for them.” I murmured as we walked down after them, holding hands as requested by the bride and groom.
“That could be us.” Zayn answered, looking at me with a lopsided grin.
“One day.” I agreed squeezing his hand.
“One day soon hopefully.” He assured me as we made our way away from the ceremony to walk along the beach as the photographers had requested for some photos.
To say that they weren’t cute would be a lie. Because Louis was a good head taller than Stef, my favourite photo was of those two, right against each other with Stef looking up at Louis and him down at her, with the sun starting to get low behind them, the freshly cut lilies in Stef’s hair looking stunning in contrast with her naturally dark hair.
Sarah’s POV
“We’re telling them tonight.” He decided.
“Is that a good idea? It’s the night of the wedding. Everybody’s happy and whatnot, we can’t ruin this for them. This is something Stef and Louis will remember for the rest of their lives, we can’t tell them now.” I hissed in reply as he waltzed me onto the dance floor.
“Not now,” He assured. “After they leave.”
I sighed. “Better late than never.” I agreed.
“So we’ll tell them? Are you sure about this?” Josh questioned.
I scoffed at him. “You’re the one who seems to want it off your chest. I’m just going along with it.” I replied as we turned in time with the music.
“Ok then.” He smiled. “I wish you the best of luck for the future, I think there’s someone who wants to dance with you.” Josh nodded in the direction of the tables, seeing a few people standing around the edges, mostly in clusters of family and close friends. Then he spun around once more and left me on the edge of the dance floor, wandering off to mingle.
“Well, I can see that he’s moved on.” I mumbled to myself, looking around to find that no one actually was wanting to dance with me. I trudged back to my table, I shared with Cass and Zayn, Niall and Wardy and Josh. Seeing as there was no one there, I had no choice but to sit by myself and possibly drown my sorrows in expensive looking wine.
*
“Ok ok, hush hush.” Josh and I stood up the front making our farewell speech to the newly wedded couple and cheered as they left in their perfectly decorated car, only to gather our ‘group’ to tell them as quietly as we could that we were officially broken up. And that we didn’t want Stef or Louis to know until they got back from their week and a half honeymoon. We didn’t want to stress them.
