* John’s POV *

Bailey stayed in my arms forever, crying her heart out. I’ve never heard her utter the words that have been boggling her mind, but it was good enough that she wasn’t pushing me away. If I was her, I wouldn’t want to be with me anymore as I only bring bad luck in both of our lives.

The only time we’ve had an easy life together was when it was just us. No new friends or families getting in the way. No one was getting in the way of our happiness, but it was snatched away when I started making wrong decisions in life. Sometimes I think I’m the bad luck in having a relationship with Bailey.

Like we’re not even meant to be together. What I wanted would only remain in my head, and nothing will be made in reality. Because we couldn’t get what we always wanted, and in this case, that would be Bailey.

True enough, as soon as Slade and Blade came through the door and look for Bailey, I lost her once again as she immediately stood up and dived into Blade’s arms, surprising both Slade and I.

I think we both expected that she’ll go to Slade, but we were wrong.

“Come on, Bailey. You really need to go down. Smith needs to talk to you.” Blade uttered whilst rubbing her back, comforting her.

Bailey was stubborn and shook her head. “I don’t want it. I want to be just Bailey Simmons, even if it isn’t really my name.” Honestly, I prefer Bailey Simmons too if it would lead us back to that time I was the only guy in her life.

“But Bailey, please do this for me.” Blade begged. “Promise, when we’re done with this. We can go to the Aquarium or something. Wouldn’t you like that?”

“No. Stop bribing me. I wouldn’t give in.” Bailey uttered. “Stop hanging out with this guy.” She paused and pointed to Slade. “You’re becoming like him.”

I laughed as Slade scowled at me. “At least, Bailey hangs out in my room.” Now, I’m the one who’s glaring.

“Okay, I’ll stop hanging out with him them.” Blade agreed. “Now, let’s go.”

Bailey nodded like a child as I remembered that time she was excitedly going around the Aquarium with me and my mates, pointing the fishy as what she calls it. Slade and I followed suit, but stopped when Bailey turned around.

“I only want Blade in the room.” She uttered as I felt a bit jealous that now she’s only asking for Blade. Not even Slade who I think she would rather have. We both nodded, but Slade followed and said he’ll be at the lounge room while I asked them if I could now stay in this room.

Perhaps to wait, or maybe replace Bailey in her previous position as I found myself now hugging my knees, rocking myself as I visualized I was now in a foam room.

And maybe I was right because I was already seeing Xander mimicking my position from the corner of my eye, laughing wildly. “Dude, really? You’re just going to sit there and mope around when you can push your sexilicious body towards Bailey.” Oh gosh, did he really just say that?

No wait, I’m hearing and seeing things. This isn’t happening. Am I really inside the foam room right now?

Closing my eyes, I focused on something else, but I couldn’t think of anything else, except rainbows. Don’t ask why because even I don’t have any idea.

When I opened the back, two wide eyes were right in front of me, giving me a fright. “What the hell!”

Xander laughed. “You’re still the John I know.” He uttered as he took a seat on the edge of Slade’s bed, across from me.
