* John’s POV *

“What?” I asked, though I was pretty sure Bailey told me she loves me. But when I turned around she was wearing a straight face on. Some kind of reaction I surely wasn’t expecting coming from her after that revelation. “What did you say?”

Bailey looked at me with a serious and confused look on her face. “What?” She repeated and I think I may have knocked my head over some imaginary wall, only because I wanted to make sure I had a clear mind. That I wasn’t just dreaming of it.

“What did you say?” I tried again.

“I said… What?” Bailey repeated again.

“No! What did you say before that?” I was getting ticked off by the response like I wanted to confirm already that I wasn’t crazy or anything.

“I said thank you, John, for everything.” She uttered, still with a blank expression on her face, whilst I just wanted to pull the hairs out of my head this instant, getting aggravated.

With a deep breath, I sighed and calmed myself down. Perhaps I should get the others to come inside so I don’t think about things. As I was about to open the door, I heard Bailey giggle.

Once I turned around, she was staring into the space. I’m proper going crazy right now! Xander, help me out here! No wait, I think you’re the one messing up with me.

I should be going right now and shake the thoughts away from my mind.

“You’re so cute!” Bailey uttered and I swear I’m not looking back to meet her gaze anymore because I’ll probably just see her all serious in thoughts. “John, come back!”

“Oh, please tell me the girl’s speaking because I’m about to go crazy!” I mumbled lowly as I heard Bailey giggled again.

“Come back, babe.” She uttered and I was debating on whether I should look back or move out the door. “John, if you don’t turn around I swear I’m not talking to you ever!”

That just did it! I turned around to meet her serious face, staring blankly at me. “Whoever’s playing jokes on me, please end it right away!” I uttered up in the air, thinking maybe Xander had something to do with this, playing tricks on me.

Bailey giggled, yet again, though this time I could see her body shaking.

“What’s so funny?” I asked, pouting.

“Nothing.” She uttered as I walked towards her and waited for her to speak up again. Say those words popping in my head. With the use of her free hand, she signaled me to come closer. Leaning in, she whispered. “I love YouTube… remember that?”

I stepped away, raising my eyebrows at her. Really? That’s all she’s going to say? After the long wait….?

“I’m kidding.” She replied as if hearing my questions. “I love you, John Pearce!”

“And I love you too!” I uttered, leaning back in and holding on tightly as we kissed like we both have been waiting for this time for so long. Our lips were dancing to the rhythm of our hearts beating perfectly in sync. “Sorry I came in way too late in saving you, my princess.” I uttered, pausing for a bit, and then resumed on making out in her hospital bed.

“I’m just glad you haven’t gotten tired of saving me.” She answered back as I felt her arm resting around my neck, pulling me in closer to her, not minding if we’re both going to suffocate with each other’s kisses.

“Never letting you go, baby!” I replied, in between our kisses.

“Well, you did give me a glue for a reason…” She teased. “Won’t ever drop you again.”
