4: Forever, Miss Clumsy (John Pearce/Justice Crew Fanfic)

Chapter 5

* Slade’s POV *

Meeting Xander in the worst way possible still freaks me out up to this day, especially when I couldn’t talk to anyone about it. Not especially Bailey because I know it would only put more pressure on her and she isn’t looking good these past few weeks, still blaming herself for what had happened.

It didn’t even matter to her if Xander planned it all up because to her, she only would look at it as was hers to begin with and I didn’t want to argue with her.

So I went to my newly acquired best friend, surprising him for a visit and perhaps we were having the same flying cockroach situation.

The minute I entered the studio they were at, one of his mates launched himself at me, and not the good way for a first meet up.

“Lukas…No!” John exclaimed, but it was too late as the guy was already in his kung fu position, uttering words I have not yet heard of. I would have taken a step back but my feet were glued to the ground as my eyes were focused to that high kick I was about to get.

But never came as a huge guy picked him up and placed him down on the other side. His name was Samson, and I got to thank him for saving my life. What a relief!

Though I guess Lukas still wasn’t done as he tried going in after me yet again, shouting profanities of how I ruined John’s life. It was a funny thought actually and I have to say, the things that have been happening to me lately are out of this world.

Sparky, Xander, and then Lukas. Oh what’s next?

“What’s up, Slade?” John chuckled as we did the manly greeting and showed Lukas I wasn’t here to get John hurt. That I am a renewed person, and I’m here to fix things.

At first, he wasn’t convinced, but when Lenny had greeted me, Lukas behaved like an obedient child, but the deathly stares still haven’t gone out.

“I’m going to get killed if I don’t leave, right?” I uttered, perhaps shitting bricks while at it. John and Lenny chuckled.

“You have really changed man!” John commented. “For someone who scared us to death before, I didn’t think you’d be afraid of Lukas. Tables have now reversed.”

Yeah, and you’re not the only one who have said that. I rolled my eyes.

“Hey John, can I talk to you in private?” I asked as he nodded. Lenny looked back to Lukas and laughed when he had seen Lukas made the I-can-see-you stare that made me flinch.

John nodded. “Yeah, don’t worry about him.” He uttered before pulling me to a private room. “So what can I do for you?”

“Just wanted to ask you about the… flying cockroach you saw in my room?”

“Don’t worry about that.” John uttered and I nodded. I guess what he saw was just a cockroach and I thought we both had a Xander moment. Now I really needed someone to talk to about it, but then he’ll just think I’m crazy.

“Well I better go now.” I uttered as I stood up and was about to leave.

But I stopped when I heard him talk again. “Did you see him?”

Turning around, John’s focus was fixed on the ground as tears were visible in his eyes. “Yes.” I confirmed and he looked up, meeting mine.

“What happened?” John asked.

When he asked, I didn’t know where to start because my mind replayed the whole thing from the start. With Ryan appearing and dancing right in my face, and all the images he had tortured me with. Then, I had that serious talk with Xander. “He forgave me for all the things I had done to him.”
