* John’s POV *

Waking up in the morning felt a bit different today, but it was a good different as my dreams of having Bailey by my side were already happening. After last week’s scare, I made sure that she was tuck in bed beside me before I slept, and even made sure the locks were in place every single night. That night, I even called Chase to inform them she was safe and was staying with me for as long as she wants, which I had hoped, forever.

Bailey told me that she couldn’t breathe at that mansion anymore and she didn’t want to be stressed out. I didn’t want that either, especially when she’s carrying our child. Indeed, she was safer here with me.

As I got up from the bed, I noticed that she was now replaced by a huge teddy bear under the covers. My heart pounded in alarm as I got up all of a sudden and went to look for her. When I got out of the room, I was greeted by the delicious aroma enveloping the whole house as if it had turned into a master chef abode and Bailey was in the kitchen, making breakfast.

“Good morning.” She giggled. Her voice sounded too sweet as if it was those heart beat monitors at the hospital and was sending me back to life after that little scare I had when I saw that teddy in her place. “You hungry, babe?” She smiled as I sighed.

“What did I tell you about leaving my sight?” I uttered, walking towards her.

Her arms instantly went over my shoulders and locked at the back of my neck as she pulled me towards her, closing the gap in between us, capturing my lips in an enchanting kiss, another thing I didn’t want to let go of. My hands went over around her waist as she giggled.

“Okay now, you’re forgiven.” I uttered in between our kisses. “As much as I want to eat the food you have prepared, I’m sorry, but I’m craving for your kisses more.” I explained, but not a minute later, she playfully pushed me back, glaring at me as if waking me up to my senses.

Wait a minute… didn’t this happen yesterday? I thought as I continued to look at her and observe what she was up to. But she only looked back at me with a blank expression on her face as if wondering what was wrong with me. And with that, I took her glare seriously and led her towards the table.

I sat down as she sat right beside me. Just like what happened yesterday, she pulled her plate and started eating up. I shrugged.

“So I’ll call in the guys I’ll be late. Would you be okay to stay here for a few hours?” I asked, but she shook her head ‘no’ as I nodded. “I’ll call the guys, then.”

“No need.” She told me and I was hell confused, though I knew what she was about to say or do. This happened before and I don’t think I was dreaming or something, because I don’t want it all to be end up as my dream, but then again, my dreams happens at some point. Not until I remembered some of my dreams lately haven’t happened or have gone the opposite way.

If I told you I didn’t panic, I was lying. I was too frightened that it would end up in the opposite way. Especially remembering that part of what happened yesterday with David thanking me of how I helped them out. What if my advice turned to be something the opposite way and they turned worse. He would probably blame me for it and then take Bailey away from me.

Thinking of it, everything that happened last night seems too surreal for words. What if everything was all on my mind and the day would end up not having twins or not even marrying the girl of my dreams?

“I called Len to inform him you’re sick by the way.” Bailey woke me up from my thoughts as I looked at her, still confused of what was happening. But instead of getting shocked at that, I nodded my head and see how she’s going to respond. “I was just kidding about calling Len.” Oh. But… “I called everyone from your group.”
