* Bailey’s POV *
Getting up in the morning was usually an easy task for me, especially at a young age I didn’t have anyone to depend on, but me. And when I found out I was an heiress, my wakeup call in the morning still didn’t change.
However, today’s a different story. No matter how much I wanted to get up to surprise John some breakfast, it was as if I was glued to the bed, or more like John’s arms were serving as my restraints, not allowing me to move out. That whenever I would try to squirm underneath his arms, he would automatically tighten his grip around me, never letting go.
In my mind, he was still paranoid of what had happened last night, and I still feel bad about it even though he had forgiven me, or have stayed with me. Although, I did learn my lesson – not to listen to Slade and Serenity again.
It was sweet, though, to share something that we had in common, but maybe next time, I should figure out something less dramatic or scary, and something that wouldn’t hurt my boy.
My stomach grumbled as I started reminiscing about what happened last night, but after so many tries, John still hasn’t moved, so I lie there waiting for him to wake up, watching him peacefully sleep, and smiling at how adorable he was.
I could get used to this every morning, but I couldn’t promise that I won’t faint every single time.
Ten minutes had passed and John hasn’t moved. His breathing was still calm as I tried squirming yet again. This time his hold onto me had loosened up, and when I was almost out of the bed, his hand pulled me back towards him as he laughed.
“Where are you going?” He asked, though his eyes were still close, pretending that he was still asleep.
Turning to face him, I pouted, rubbing my stomach as he watched me. “I’m hungry, and I want to make breakfast for us.”
Hearing my response, John immediately stood up from the bed, hurrying towards the bathroom, and then coming back a few minutes later. “What do you want, baby?” He asked as I thought of different kinds of food in the morning. It was like my tongue was looking for some certain food; however, I couldn’t make up my mind what exactly I wanted. Perhaps, this was the effect of having a bun in the oven, although, isn’t it a bit too early to be picky on food?
Actually, I have no idea, and I guess John had read my thoughts as he chuckled and had done some sort of karate, imitating some chef we had seen on the television recently. “I’ll cook up something for you. Just stay here, okay.” He uttered as I nodded my head, whipping up my phone from the nightstand as I decided to stick on my phone while I wait.
Since last night’s almost ending of John and I, I decided that starting today, I’ll be his obedient girl and stay where he had left me. In this case, he told me to stay in bed while he stirs up something delicious in the kitchen.
However just after a few minutes, my nose could smell what John has been working on and it was so hard for me to stay in the room, my stomach growling louder.
“John, can I go to the kitchen yet?” I shouted by the bedroom’s door as I heard him chuckle, telling me that it wasn’t the time yet.
I groaned, but followed his orders as I went back to bed, and waited for more minutes. After another five has passed, I then went by the door, my head peeking by the hallway. “John, can I go to the kitchen yet?” And still he told me it wasn’t ready, chuckling even louder this time.
I had no other choice, but to wait in bed. As another five minutes had passed, I hopped down the bed and walked towards the door, poking my head out once again. “John, can I… oh hello!” I exclaimed, helping him open the bedroom door as he was holding onto a tray of goodies, placing it on the middle of the bed.
