Chapter 13

(Xander's POV)

" Don't worry sweetheart she'll come around just give her time," my mom squeezed my arm gently I leaned heavily on her like something had zapped the energy from my body and I couldn't hold myself up on my own .

" Oh baby shhh ," I put my head on her shoulder and I let my body sag , she stroked my hair mumbling something that I really didn't understand but it was helping , I let my eyes close , I just felt so drained and depressed my precious mate , the love if my life is too afraid to even let me touch her , it was like a stab to the heart with a silver dagger .

" She'll come around baby just give her time to heal , it looks like she's been through a lot already , you need to give her time to heal from her trauma ," she made me look at her

" Just give her time baby ok ? Just give her time ," I nodded slowly , my heart just hurt too much to answer anyway .

" It hurts mom , it just hurts ," she sighed and kissed my temple

" I know it does sweetheart , I know ," she put her arms around me and let me sag into her side and wallow in my own self pity .

" Hey man , you ok what happened ?" mark came in with a worried look , I sighed and looked at him with a dull expression

" He's having trouble with his mate honey , she's just so fragile right now and he doesn't know what to do . He wants to help but he can't get close to her and he's just hurting honey ," I put my head on my mom's shoulder and let my shoulders sag .

" Oh dude , I'm sorry man ... do you think me or Alyssa could do something ?" I sighed and shook my head looked at him

" She won't even let me touch her , I don't even think you or Alyssa would help ," it was hopeless , I sighed and Phelix was whimpering in the back of my mind he was just as depressed as I was .

" How about I try , you never know man you know how Alyssa can warm up even the meanest of people ," I sighed

" Try it I'm on my last leg with this , I don't know what else to do to help her ," Phelix whimpered and I let my head fall on my moms shoulder again .

" I'm on it i'll go get her ," he went off and I was just crossing my fingers that this would work , I just wanted my baby , my mate , my Rosie .
