(Xander's POV)

It felt like my heart was cracking inside my chest, my sweet and terrified Rosie was clamming up again. I hung my head against the fridge, she was starting to open up and I felt her starting to trust me and wanted to be with me but now we were back to square one.

" Oh goddess what can I do ?" I sighed and put together a small PB & J sandwich and some milk along with some bacon.

I peaked inside Rosie's room and found her staring off into space her eyes slightly glazed over. I set her plate down and she looked at me, she looked like she had been through hell and back and all I wanted was for her to be happy.

" Hey I made you a sandwich ," I set the plate down next to her and she just stared at it blankly.

" Rosie ?" she frowned and her nose crinkled slightly and shook her head at it.

" What's wrong with it ?" she pushed the sandwich away.

" Allergic ," her voice was rough and it sounded almost unused.

" Are you allergic to peanut butter ?" she nodded and I frowned and took the sandwich away and started eating it and she nibbled on the bacon pieces.

" You know you can talk to me Rosie you won't get in trouble," she rubbed her throat and shook her head I gave her the milk and she sipped it, cleared it.

" Thank you ," I smiled and wiped milk off her lip, careful to go slow so I wouldn't scare her.

" Your welcome, Rosie you can ask for whatever you want and I'll give it to you ," she shrugged and nibbled on more bacon.

" Can you tell me something about yourself Rosie ? Please ?" she but her lip and looked away sadly.

" I like ... flowers ," I could barely hear it but it made my heart soar that she answered me.

" What kind of flowers do you like ?" she sipped her milk and thought quietly.

" Orchids ... and Lilly's ... I, also like dragon snaps ," I beamed at her and a faint blush came to her cheeks.

" You must love the gardens then ?" she nodded faintly.

" It's ... beautiful outside ," I smiled at her and she blushed.

" Do you want to go outside Rosie ?" she blinked at me and bit her lip, nodding slowly.

I smiled and gently took the plate away and moved a bit closer.

" I'm going to have to pick you up to put you in the wheel chair ok ?" she swallowed and nodded.

She flinched slightly when I grabbed her gently, but she went limp and compliant in my arms holding onto me tightly. She wouldn't let to when I tried to set her in the chair.

" Rosie you gotta let go if you want to sit in the chair ," she shook her head and held onto me tighter.

" I don't want to ," it felt like my heart was about to burst out of my chest, she didn't want to let me go, she wanted me to hold her.

" Ok baby girl I won't let go ok ?" she nodded and clung to my neck tightly.

" Ok ," I smiled, held her gently, she was so delicate and fragile I was afraid if I held her too tight I would break her.

" Where do you want to go baby girl ill take you anywhere ," I stepped outside and adjusted Rosie in my arms.

" Garden ," I smiled, my heart was hurting from happiness, Rosie trusted me, or at least she trusted me enough to let me touch her.

" Ok, do you want to go to the willow tree Rosie ?" she nodded into my neck and clung onto me tighter.

" Your ok Rosie, I won't let anything happen to you your safe, I will die before you get hurt ," she glanced at me, her large blue eyes fearful, but there was something else something that made my heart warm over, trust.

" P-promise ?" I smiled and gently kissed her forehead and it made me happy she didn't flinch away.

" Always baby girl, always ,"
