Chapter 6

Chapter 6: The Funeral

A week later, it was July 6 2038, the funeral of Alicia (aka: Allie/Scarlet1). It was held in the Dojo, at the centre of the elements symbol, where the card-jitsu shadow element is. It's a Club Penguin event and only a few penguins can see the body (penguins made in 2005 and above). There were penguins upset and it was live streamed for everyone to see. It was really upsetting that even the news recorded it. Allie is just lying there, with no life to live. Gary was crying and Alana and Aunt Artic were comforting him. Lane started the funeral.

"Hello, penguins, players and people around the world" said Billybob (Lane). "Today is a tragic day, the day where Alicia or also known as Starlight or Scarlet, dies. She was a daughter, a friend, a mother a performer and a singer. She was amazing with her knowledge in Club Penguin and the ability to not only save Club Penguin but the world. I'm afraid that immortality was granted to her unlike me, I got it. It's much better if she got it instead of me. So each penguin closest to her will give a speech on her life".

It first started off with Allie's friends, Garnet, Mira, Sky and Reed. They gave the story of her childhood. Then came Joshua who gave the story when she was adopted by Lane. Alana gave the story of Allie as mother with a secret. Then the chosen characters of Club Penguin gave their story. Sensei gave the story of him training her, The band gave the story of her as a singer, Cadence and Aunt Artic gave the story of Allie as a best friend, Rockhopper gave the story of Allie as an adventure at heart and Gary gave the story of Allie being his tutor, his wife and his prized possession. Gary's eulogy was the most painful eulogy ever heard. Everyone who heard will feel how he feels as he says each word. Each tear that G falls will affect the audience. Gary struggled saying his because it was really painful, he couldn't cope to the fact that Allie is gone forever. Nobody in Club Penguin dies so it was a new experience for him to take and understand.

When the funeral ended, Sensei went to his guardian form. Since he has the ability of Card-Jitsu shadow, he multiplied himself into 3, each copy with one element of water, fire and snow. They did a special dance like what Allie did when she save Club Penguin for the first time. Each symbol glowed and a beam of blue, red and white appeared the 3 Sensei copies left and used the ability to stable each beam. At the centre, the coffin opened and Allie's body was being lifted. There, Allie's guardian form was being separated from the penguin body, as well as the power of the Link. Her powers was being drained and sent to beams, sending it away where no one can obtain it. It will be used to balance Club Penguin. When it ended, the body has been returned to the coffin in peace. The beams disappeared and created a dome to the coffin and sent the body to the front of the dojo where the cherry blossom trees are. All the guest went to that location and was the burial of the body. When it ended, there was the stone saying:

"R.I.P. Here lies Starlight, a performer and a hero. There is a time to live and a time to sleep".

Then the snow covered the hole. All Sensei copies returned to one Sensei and the band played their final funeral song. Everyone has to give a flower and when it finally ended, each petals of the cherry blossoms fell to the grave. All the penguins left except for the Guardians, Mira, Sky, Reed, Grace and Alana.

"I can't believe it" said Lane. "She's gone".

"I know" said Alana. "At least she saw me graduate".

"I have no words to, express how I am feeling, I am now upset" said Sensei.

"From all the adventures I've been, this has been the most depressing one I've seen" said Rockhopper.

"I don't know how I could write in the Penguin Times about this" said Aunt Artic. "How could I be a great EPF leader if I'm now feeling this upset. How are we even feeling like this anyway?".

"I didn't program you, you earned it" said Billybob. "Since you've touched Earth soil once, you will at least get a few emotions. Unlike Gary, he has all".

They all tuned to Gary who's kneeling on the snow, crying his heart out.

"Don't worry G" said Rookie has he patted him on the back.

"I know how you feel G about losing someone you loved the most" said Reed. "It will be hard but you will pull through".

"No, I won't" said Gary. "You have no idea what happened during our holiday in Earth 5 years ago".

"What happened?" asked Garnet.

"I... kissed her" said Gary. "But not a normal kiss, it was longer than expected. She was shocked but she asked me what I perceive her as. She was touched from what I did that she pulled me in".

Alana, Grace, Reed, Macy, Sky and Lane were shocked, others confused.

"That's it?" asked Cadence.

"I know that feeling" said Reed. "It's that feeling that if you do let her go, it will be hard to get her back".

Gary got upset and pushed Reed to the snow with anger.

"Why did you said those words to me!?" yelled Gary. "I shouldn't be feeling this way! I shouldn't even have done that to her! If you didn't said that to me, I..."

"You what, not get upset during the funeral?" asked Sky as she grabbed Gary's flipper and made him turn around. She slapped him at the face, crying. "Dude, you felt this feeling before when she attempted to save Pizza Parlour years ago! Before she knew about the Link, before you even have feelings for her. When that building collapsed, you were upset because she tried to save an iconic building. You said that she was the one you were looking for and you would do anything for her! You even made a promise that you wouldn't betray her. So for pete's sake and don't blame this on Reed or to anybody! Humans die! We are not immortal unlike you!"

"That's the point! I am immortal, so what? I should live the rest of my life alone? Scarlet is the only one I will love and cherish! Why should she be gone and I live on? I want her to live, I can't take the pain that you humans receive. Why should I take these emotions, why am I different from the other characters?" asked Gary.

"Because you fell in love with a human" said G Billy. G Billy is a blue penguin who wears and red bandana and a grey shirt and plays the drums and is the founder of the Penguin Band. "All of us, we didn't fall in love with a human being, just friends. We have no experience on how you feel so as your love progressed, so did your human side".

"That's true" said Rookie. "Think about it G, you're the only one who fell this much for Scarlet".

Gary felt upset and help Reed get back up.

"Sorry" said G.

"I know how you feel" said Reed. "I did it to you years before".

Billybob went to Alana who was just standing there.

"My mother was just too young to die" said Alana.

"That now makes you the next possessor" said Lane.

"What?" asked Alana.

"You are now responsible in protecting Club Penguin from harm" said Billybob. "You're the only one who has powers from the Link. You're now in charge".

Alana was now in shock. She never knew that this day would happen to her. She has been in intense training before Allie's death but she never knew it was for this very moment.

"I accept this position as the next possessor" said Alana.

Everyone left leaving Gary at the grave. He still has Allie's necklace that he has gave to her. G went to Allie's igloo where he now lives with. Each wall and picture gives off a memory. He couldn't take the pain anymore. He has a huge mission to do.
