Chapter 7

Chapter 7: The Breakdown

            1 month has passed since Allie died and some of the penguins already moved on. Players pay respect to her grave and if the team sees someone disrespecting it, they ban them. Gary though isn’t taking it well. He was unfocused and he couldn’t concentrate on his job and his social life. There were appearances of Gary in his disguise and drinking tons of coffee. Since the helmets were launched years after the contest, many players bought them and as it updates, Club Penguin is one of the games that mastered Virtual Reality. Lane can see G struggling as he still lives in Club Penguin and as Gary becomes human in time to time, he gets sent to Psychology therapy for an hour to help with his grief. But Gary is still struggling. There were occurrences where Gary tried to make Allie alive again or to make a copy of her. One day, Rookie and Cadence came over to see how Gary is doing. They were outside the igloo and peeking from the window.

            “G isn’t doing well” said Rookie.

            “I know, I see him at Town Centre a lot” said Cadence. “Hope he is ok”.

            They looked in and saw Gary playing with Chemicals and one of Allie’s DNA. There were tones of clouds and explosions.

            “Is G trying to create life?” asked Rookie.

            “He’s more like trying to make a clone” said Cadence.

            Rookie looked at her with a weird look on his face. He had no idea Cadence know about Science. Then they saw the piece of hair forming a pink penguin. Rookie and Cadence eyes glimmered and in surprised. They saw Gary trying to create another Allie in secret. It was a success.

            “I did it” said Gary with excitement. “She’s back!”

            Allie 2.0. started to walk. She sort of has some of her memories of the previous Allie before she died.

            “G? What am I doing here?” asked Allie 2.0.

            Gary ran to hug her. Allie was surprised to see Gary who is really desperate to hug her. Meanwhile outside, Rookie and Cadence were shocked to see Gary reverse death.

            “I’m soo glad to see you again!” cried Gary.

            Gary was about to kiss her at the beak but when he did, there was a puff of explosion and the igloo went dark. Gary was pushed to the side of the igloo due to the power of the explosion.

            “Scarlet, where are you?” yelled Gary.

            When the clouds fade out, Allie disappeared and the piece of hair came. It was the hair fell down slowly and Gary recognised that it was the hair piece that he used to make the new Allie.

            “Nooo!” yelled Gary.

            Gary cried and fell to the ground. He has given up hope. He felt that his life is over. Rookie and Cadence felt piety for him. Rookie called Billybob and told him everything. Billybob held an emergency meeting at HQ.

            “Creator, what’s going on?” asked Sensei.

            “Rookie, Cadence, tell us what you have seen” said Billybob.

            Rookie and Cadence stood up and explained everything of what they have seen. G in the other hand was on the HQ floor, crying with no hope.

            “G almost created Scarlet?” asked Aunt Artic.

            “Yes” said Cadence. “But he didn’t succeed”.

            “G, is that true” asked Dot.

            Gary didn’t respond. He was still in shock and in pain. He’s different from the other penguins due to his ‘Human Emotions’.

            “Where’s Lily (Alana)?” asked Aunt Artic.

            “She’s in university so she can’t be bothered right now” said Billybob. “She’s also out of the country right now so she’s out of reach”.

            “So what are we going to do about Gary?” asked Rockhopper.

            Billybob had some thought about it. Since reversing death is impossible, he has no other choice but reveal a rumour that he has heard before heard.

            “Believe there is one person who can help G in his problem” said Billybob.

            “Who?” asked Aunt Artic.

            “It’s a penguin I’ve known for a short while when CP was still in Development” said Billybob. “We need to find… the Duckor!”

            Gary heard it and was surprised. He has met the Ductor before.

            “The Doctor?” asked G Billy.

            “No, Ducktor!” said Billybob. “DUCK-Tor… or at least that what he now calls himself”.

            “Who is that person?” asked Rookie.

            “The Ducktor was a draft penguin that wasn’t supposed to be alive but for some reason, he managed to live” said Billybob. “G met him and helped him but I managed to delete him before he left”.

            “Then why are we supposed to find the Ducktor?” asked Franky.

            “The reason why is because there were some disturbances in Earth so there may be a chance he may have escaped” said Billybob. “Even though, G helped him escape”.

            Everyone looked at Gary whose still lying at the ground.

            “Why was he a draft?” asked Cadence.

            “He’s Gary the Gadget Guy in creation” said Billybob. “But he’s not an inventor but a time traveller but due to copyrights, he was scraped. G help him build a time machine and at the same time I deleted him, he could have escaped at the same time. And since there were anomalies in Canada, there may be a chance he still may survive”.

            “But what is the point of this search anyway?” asked Stompin Bob.

            “The Ducktor was a penguin and now probably a human. He may have experienced grief before as a penguin and a human. The Ducktor is our only hope to get G’s sanity back” said Billybob.

            “So the Ducktor will be G’s Doctor” said Aunt Artic.

            “He won’t listen to any of you because you never experienced what he has and I can’t help him because I’m just a human” said Billybob. “He will only listen to someone who experienced the same experience as he has”.

            “Then we need to go to Earth then!” said Rockhopper. “This will be fun!”

            “Wait… how we will know how the Ducktor will look like?” asked Petey K. “He may have changed appearance like how G did when he went human”.

            “That’s why G is coming with you” said Billybob. “I have no idea how the Ducktor looks like anymore but since G and the Ducktor are friends, they may remember each other”

            The characters weren’t that sure with that idea. Gary is in an unstable condition to do anything. He’s still in grief.

            “Are you sure?” asked Aunt Artic. “G isn’t that ready”.

            “He’s unstable I know but he’s the only one who knows the Ducktor” said Billybob. “Tomorrow, the portal will open and you will transform into Humans temporarily so you could blend it and find the Ducktor. Clothes will be prepared on you when you wake up”.
