Chapter 29

Chapter 29: A Test of Love

            Gary was about to leave till Aunt Artic got his flipper. She wouldn’t let go and turned Gary around and kissed him at the beak. Gary’s glasses fogged and he had no idea what just happened.

            “This will be the same kiss you will get when you go to the alternate timeline!” said Aunt Artic. “I’m the same person at the alternate world… but human. I know you’re still bummed when Allie died and you want to die with her. But Club Penguin needs you. I need you”.

            Gary cleaned his glasses and faced Aunt Artic. He can see her eyes glimmering, hoping that he would stay.

            “But I’m…” said Gary.

            “I get it, you’re immortal. But I am too!” said Aunt Artic. “But we both broke free from the program due to love! I loved you soo much to set you free from Tara’s curse! Why wouldn’t you accept my feelings for you?!”

            “Because you just remind me of Allie!” yelled Gary. “The name ‘Alicia’, that’s Allie’s real name! Every time I come to the fact to accept your love, the name just reminds me of her and how she passed away! I don’t want to get build up again! I don’t want to suffer anymore! Me moving to the alternate timeline will make me forget and I wouldn’t remember her anymore! Lane, you owe me, time to pay up!”.

            “G, this is a stage of grief, Bargaining. Apparently, you’ve switched Bargaining with Depression because depression is the 4th but you made bargaining your 4th stage!” said Alana. “I’ve lost many things in life but I managed to move on. Sure I would love to live in a parallel universe but is it worth it? Sure it will be better there but it just wouldn’t be the same. G, you need to move on! Me and Allie did and so should you!”.

            “Your step-daughter has a point” said Lane. “But since I owe you something, I won’t argue”.

           G decided to leave and suddenly, he can’t cross. It was blocked. He’s now trapped in his real timeline.

            “What happened?” asked Gary.

            “We did it!” said the Ducktor.

            Everyone returned to the original time line and Gary’s body woke up. G returned. Gary turned around and attacked the Ducktor. Trevor and Lane pulled G off so the Ducktor wouldn’t be harmed even more.

            “What did you do?” asked Gary.

            “We managed to stall you so that you wouldn’t leave!” said the Ducktor. “You being stuck in the center of Time and Space is just a minor crack just needing to be restored. When you decided to leave, it was fixed. You can’t leave! You need to have the Fragment of Balance to leave”.

            Gary felt upset and went to the roof of the CP building.
