I honestly didn't care if we won or not I just want to swim the water hitting my bare skin, the bubbles I make with every motions I just want to hurry up and swim. I look at the crowd and of course it's packed I spotted Jimmy and Johnny they were sitting at the left side and second row on top. I then spot Melody, Marie and the rest of her friends at the middle. I waved towards them Melody waved at me smiling and made a peace sign, the coach came over the give us a speech but really I wasn't paying attention.
"Eddward"! " You're up next son, you know what to do".
"Have I ever failed you coach" I smirked.
"ALRIGHT EVERYBODY GIVE A CHEER FOR OUR CAPTAIN EDDWARD VINCENT"!!! The announce Jenny shouted.
The crowd goes wild, I got on the diving board I wasn't nervous at all I knew I was gonna win.
"Aye Vincent"!
I heard a voice calling my name I turned to my left and it was one of the guys from the "Whales" team.
"May I help you"?
"Don't get cold feet now, cause later you would need help".
"Hmph, don't underestimate me", I grin.
"On your Mark"!
I got ready I blocked any background noises and only focused on the water.
"Get Set.....FIRE"!
I dived into the water hearing the splash of my dive I began to gain speed I wasn't even lifting my head to take a breath, once I reached the other side I took a breath and began swimming, clearing my thoughts flowing with the water if I've became water itself.
Melody
I was so nervous I wanted Eddward to win so badly! Once the race began I was at the edge of my seat I couldn't really see him he hasn't came up yet, not to mention the other team is almost at the other end. He finally came up, "oh my god he's at the other side already"!! I shouted.
"Yup that's Eddward for ya", Marie chuckled.
He's going so fast I can't believe it"! I was so amazed I seen him practice but I never seen this before. I feel something hot in my chest I can't even breathe.
"AND THE WINNER IS EDDWARD VINCENT"!!!! Everyone howling for Eddward's Victory I got up before everyone and ran down to congratulate him.
"Eddward"! I screamed for his name, but before I could reach him everyone had crowded around him and there was no way I could get to him.
"Mel we need to go"! Minnie grabs my arm, I felt horrible but had no choice.
"Okay" I said looking down.
"I'm sorry honey", I just nodded and ran out before traffic becomes bad.
I was quiet the whole ride home, "Would ya like to come hangout at ma house" Rolf asked everyone.
