Legend of the pure hearts

Chapter 2

Midna, Ortinsia, and I ran out to the forest where the battle was taking place. I always kept my sword on me so I was ready to fight. The battle had already started and it was chaos. Our army consisted of Bowser's the koopa king, army which was made up of Koopas, Goombas, and a whole lot of other things. All of us charged in. I could see a couple of explosions from Tails's traps. Pulling out my sword, I slashed and stabbed the Bulbins that were attacking with bows and clubs. "Behind you!" Someone shouted. Turning around I had a split second to register the Bulbins behind me bows ready. A blur of pink took them out. When the blur calmed down, Amy another friend stood behind me with her hammer behind her. I gave her a quick thumbs up before turning back to the battle. A horrifying screech shook the field. Shadow Beast from the twilight realm. Only one person could bring them to the field. Zant, the twilight king and Midna's former commander. Midna had been helping Zant as he had revived her from the dead but her memory her old life was gone. We had captured Midna during a battle and later she found out Zant was using her for destruction. She joined us and we found out she was a Pure Heart. Like myself, Tails, and Ortinsia, as a Pure Hearts she had great power. Whom ever was leading the army of darkness wanted to use our Pure Hearts. At least, that's what we assume. The shadow being kept coming and I could see Zant near them leading them. Tails came up to me. "Midna's not aware he's here. Do you want to take him?" I nodded. "Keep Midna distracted, we can't let Zant see her." He ran of as I charged towards the king. He noticed me right away and ran to intercept me. He drew out a red sword with symbols similar to the ones on Midna's arm. Our swords clashed.
"I warned you, we would meet again Rhion," he said his voice cold as steel. A helmet covered his head and he wore black clothing with green symbols. He pulled away from me and sent a ball of energy just like the one Midna used earlier at me. I dodged but got hit by the shock wave. I sent a strong focused blast of water at him. He teleported to dodge my attack and reappeared as I sent another blast stronger then the last at him that was impossible to dodge. He was blown back away from me. He chuckled.
"Well your blasts may be enough to harm me but you should always watch your back!" He shouted. I turned around to intersect another sword this one a black rapier. I looked at the attacker. Same height as me his skin was white along with his hair. One eye was showing the other covered by his bangs. A red cloak covered his chest and had a diamond pattern under it. Girahim, the demon lord. I hadn't realized that he and Zant were working together. I managed to push him back and got in between him and Zant who had gotten up. "Well," Girahim remarked. "You certainly have good skill but, let's see you deal with two of us." He stepped on something that started to beep. I ran as the mine exploded. Once the dust was settled I looked at where they use to be. They weren't dead, but they must've teleported out of the blast. The monsters retreated and I nearly collapsed. "That was---" I grabbed my sword and held it to the speakers throat. "Woah woah woah, calm down it's me!" Sonic exclaimed. I put my sword away. "Don't sneak up on me again," I told him. He nodded. We headed back to our home passing by all of Bowsers minions injured. "We need to talk," I said as we got back to the facility. "Team meeting?" He asked. "Yes, team meeting."
